Hey FGFRC It definitely appears as a very stable jet but I have heard others say the front gear is a weak point on it. Can you elaborate on the repair you will be making on the front gear or possibly show it on a video?

Great job , it is a nice bird running mine on 8s. 2-4s batteries ZEE 7000 you can get 3 minutes if you don't fly hard

7000 8s and you're only getting 3 mins not flying hard?! I get 3 mins on 4000 6s, 8s, 9s and 10s. Somethings up with your lipos if that's all you're getting 😮

@FatGuyFliesRC flys really well with 2 - 4s batteries lots of power an pretty good speed I just put batteries all the way back side by side to get CG,, an use the blue adapter plug two leads into one

Probably the ESC cutoff set to soft. Once you drop below 3.2v per cell, it reduces the power to the motor as a safety so you can still get it back on the ground safely.

The esc would've been beeping upon inspection. I have mine set to 2.8V and had it happen once or twice and 90% of my planes have this new 120A Hobbywing flyfun esc in them.

Your battery isn't bad. The ESC is misinterpreting the voltage from the HVLi pack. You need to use a Y harness and hook up a standard 6s lipo first to initialize the ESC so it "sees" a 6S pack. Once the ESC initializes connect the HVLi pack then remove the lipo pack and go fly.

Great tip. I assume you mean a parallel y for the other lipo?

@FatGuyFliesRC yes. Parallel Y. Leave the standard lipo connected until the ESC initializes, then connect the HVLi, then disconnect the standard lipo. You can fly with the Y. I had this same issue with my FW F-22. If you initialize with a fully charged HVLi 6s pack the ESC "sees" it as a 7S pack so when the voltage drops during flight the plane behaves as it's losing power and goes into LVC mode. Also some FW ESC's don't always initialize (cell count beeps) with HVLi packs. The servos will work but no throttle. My FW A-4 is like that, so I use the Y harness for that plane as well.

Depends on the ESC. If this is the newer version it comes with a 120A 8s compatible Hobbwing esc. It's good for 6s, 7s and 8s. Obv the motor isn't but a 6s LiHv should be a problem for the latest Blue Esc.

@M4rkmcc21 the issue is the ESC "sees" 6S HVLi packs as 7S (but not at full 7S voltage), which they are not. So after a few minutes it goes into LVC as the voltage drops to a regular 6S Lipo full charge state. I've had this happen and use the Y harness as a solution when flying with 6S HV packs.

My exact thoughts too. She flies like a begginer jet and can advance to an expert with the agility its got. The price tag is the only reason id not recommend it to a beginner for lack of landing experince. In flight i think any half decent self aware beginner could fly this. I wonder if all your cells were the same voltage when you landed. Maybe a poor cell in the pack.

Thanks, yeah great stable flyer. Well this is the first time this type of pack was used in her. I have learned from other viewers that sometimes FW esc don't properly read HIV packs and see them as 7s and report as a power loss.
