Will, glad to hear from you my friend! I would’ve thought that this one would be sent with the 30gm servos already installed too. But I guess they decided to add them to the box after they arrived at the warehouse, like Tom said. Hopefully they’ll have them on the next run for you.

Yeah....that chattery servo seems normal when it's not flying to me. Pete from banana hobby had the same servo in one of his videos

Hey there Richard, Motion RC is working on a couple servo kit options. They are considering having a kit that comes with only the beefy elevator linkage, for those who are fine with the replacement 23gm servos that everyone received in the first run. And another option for those who want the beefy elevator linkage combined with the replacement 30gm servos. I’m pretty sure they’ll also offer in the “Upgrades” category the option to purchase just the servos as well. To stay up on the conversation that sometimes includes Tom, one of the owners, you can review several pages of notes in the Motion RC chat line at www.hobbysquawk.com. (If you haven’t already joined those chats) And FYI, there those who say they are flying the jet on the original 17gm servo set up just fine. But most would rather have the peace of mind of not having to worry about whether or not that set up will disappoint them when the need arises to get out of trouble. @@flyingant2557 That would be Great. This is crazy. I pre-ordered the Mig-29 and was one of the first to get it but still can't maiden it! I looked at buying 30g micro servos from Hitek but then you need to also buy the HFP 30 computer to re-program one of the servos. No winning here.

Oh no! What was wrong with the servos? And were they the same servos that I showed in the video? Silver with a red band and thicker servo arms?

@@flyingant2557 They we’re broader and each had different coloured wiring , as soon as I connected them they stuttered . When I removed them Freewing had made the box bigger so the high tech 85 replacements didn’t fit. I had to make a box to sit in the tray snug that then received the high tech servos . Unfortunately one of the rudder servos showed signs of trouble so to be safe I ended up up grading the two of them . This meant working in the same area where I had built the box for the elevator servos . MotionRC didn’t want to contribute on the grounds they would have supplied servos for the elevators the size of the originals . I wasn’t prepared to accept that because the high tech replacements are a up grade and what the aircraft needs . Ps watch the Utube video re conflict with flaps and the elevators, important info !
