Freeze Dried Raspberries Without Owning A Freeze Dryer 

The best thing about having friends as a homesteader is that we all own different things and we can barter for help from each other.
My friend Grace owns a freeze dryer but I don't. I grow raspberries but she doesn't. I was so excited when she agreed to freeze dry my raspberries and keep a portion of them for payment. We both were winners.
I hope to have a freeze dryer in the next year or so and I plan on freezing many of my berries and making jams but I wanted to have some on the shelf that would last longer and be able to be used in different ways. Grace blessed me by helping me with this.
If you have friends that you can barter with, go for it. It will help both of you accomplish a goal!
