Pretty cool to have a film set in past times instead of the present. So many explorers disappeared exploring the Arctic looking for the Northwest Passage.

This would have been more believable if they had more crew members, even if this was low budget. There should have been at least 10 more sailors to pick off, fight, die, run, whatever. I guess i'm trying to make it make sense, ha!

this film is full of puzzles. 1 - issue every one with arms. yet there are guns wrapped up when they leave the ship. if attacked then no time to get them out. 2 - the woman leaves med bay with rifle then does not have it when meets with others no gun. 3 - the woman is given a gun in the cave, then she finds body and No gun 4 - we see 4 people on the ship. and the main 6 that have left the ship total 10 people on the whole ship instead of at least a 100 would be needed. 5 - every one stay together then people go wandering off by themselves in to the dark. 6 - the capt finds William sitting at a table with enough candles to light a whole house. and it has been 2 yrs too. 7 - big fight at least 10 enemy vs 3 with single shot guns and only one gets killed and all this is just in the 1st half of the movie

so the Captain was a time traveller? Captain has a zippo lighter they were first made in1933 yet film is set in 1905 which is 28yrs before they were invented

This could have been good but they show the monsters way to often and in way better light than would be available. It shatters the already thin veil of unbelief the viewer should be cultivating. But it's still fun. Good cheese riddled Sat afternoon move to kick back and burn on. Monster costumes are cool, but like I said, they failed to use them properly imho.

if close to anything then they would have found these caves already. and would not have needed a ship to come here taking 2 years. the only place she could have went was the ship., food water etc. the monsters did nothing after the big stone got blew up. This film has more mysteries than answers

The phonograph and muskets are not from the same era. The ship and weapons are from the beginning of the 19th century and the phonograph from the end of the 19th century beginning of the 20th
