First thank you for sharing . You did an excellent job of explaining how to do it. When I try to freeze the first column and the heading, I selected the column and row to freeze the heading and first column but it doesn't freeze the column, only the heading. What is my problem? why isn't it working?
Hi, thanks for watching. If your headers are in row 1 and your first column is column A, then select cell B2, go to the ribbon and click 'freeze panes'. Hopefully that helps, otherwise select the appropriate intersecting cell for your file.
That's great. However, I would like to know how to do this in Page layout view. If I select Page layout after I have frozen my cells, it gives me a message that it will disable freeze panes. This is not good from Microsoft. Is there a way around this please? A challenge for you.
How do i freeze different row... Let's say row 5 and 17..if i scroll past row 5 it will froze the row 5 until i scroll past row 17,then row 17 will froze if i keep scrolling down
