Hey great cover! I'm really struggling to play the G maj 7 chord and get all 6 notes to sounds out clearly, my hand is throbbing from stretching my pinky to the 6th fret. Tommy plays 6th string then 4th string and I cant get the 4th, 3rd, and 2nd strings to stound clearly on that chord. Even though I can get my fingers where they need to be, to make them stand up enough to play that chord is killing my hands!! Was that a difficult chord section for you as well?
Thank you! I struggled more with rhythm, dynamics, and intonation than with guitar chords. Looking back at this video now, I find it to be a very timid performance. It's not as lively as Tommy's performance.
@@parasa6952 even if you lacked confidence in your playing it certainly didnt show, it was amazing and smooth! And I keep working that chord but its giving me hell even though I've played bar chords for years its easy to cheat it if your strumming it, but if you're fingerpicking it, then every note has to sound out clear... RIP lol i'll keep trying
Yes I know all about it bro 😂😂I’m getting there you are fuckn top class bro I’m Gona buy a maton wat is the difference in the artist and the TE MODEL I’m probably Gona buy it from guitar guitar in Birmingham, they don’t carry them in Ireland !! @@parasa6952 I looked around and found some. This is definitely going to take a lot of practice and time, but I can't stop listening to this song. What an absolutely cheerful tune. 👍
I find it's easier (not to mention more accurate most of the time) to just slow down the video and learn it note by note. Tommy also has a lesson, a little different from this version but it's helpful nonetheless.
@@ryanthayer2965 It is the distance between the strings and the wood neck. It is usually measured twice when adjusting the action for a guitar. Once on the 12th fret and second around 5th or around that general area. The lowest you can go without any buzzing is usually the most ideal action height for fingerstyle playing which is apparently the case with OP’s guitar in the video.
