in 50% of cases re-occurring spn4364 fmi 18 is related to DEF pump. You can do def quantity test and you will get normal 102-138 ml def. But that is not enough. The DEF pump has a bladder and that bladder must have 40-46 psi air pressure inside. If pressure is lower than 40 psi the truck will throw 4364/18 on uphills or where there is a hot weather. the code will come and go when you drive the truck. There is a special way how to add pressure to bladder...

I just went through this. Did an injector diagnosis and 3 were bad, with the other 3 overfueling to compensate. Had to change all the injectors. 130 miles later I was derated with a spn 3556 fmi 18 code.

Hi francisco, I had the same problem with my cascadia 2016 after dealer doing regen for two or three times he told me the nox conversion effecincy not stable it goes to 84% and back to 81% which may cause to check engine light will come again, I drove the truck for 300 miles without issue but still not trust the truck due to low efficiency, our mechanic in company put hot water from the doser valve opening and ran regen again he said the efficiency become 89% to 86% but it drop to 69% while idling ...all other readings are normal ,dealer told me to replace one box which coast alot of money ...any suggestions to me to fix the issue... All the codes now cleared but I couldn't use the truck till the efficiency become stable ...the truck has 600000 miles on it with detroit dd15 engine and I am only the owner from 2016

Creo que se equivoca con lo de ppm de los nox sensor, porque no debe de exeder una maxima creo es de 60 ppm entre Los nox sensors, las possible causes de este codigo son, 1 def contaminado 2 incorrect concentracion de urea en el def 3 parcial nox sensor 4exesivo def construido dentro de la caja 5 temperatura exesiva en la caja 6 inapropiado def mantenimiento 7 internamente la caja Dañada.

Hi, I got that code, was derated to 5mph. I replaced outlet nox sensor, did regent and it showed 90 percent nox conversion. Everything worked great for 1 week until I had a 45,000 lb load going up a very steep hill and the lights came on again. 30 miles later, it derated to 55 mph for 8 miles, then the problem went away. Could it be the inlet nox sensor also? I’ve installed awning kit, changed def filter, def pump def supply lines, and doser and dpf doser. When I hold down accelerator when 55 derate, eventually the power kicks back on and the lights go away. Maybe an electrical problem? Or bad onebox?

Can I use the standard version of the DDDL software to do scr efficiency tests and clear codes on a 2019 cascadia?

every time I go up hill with heavy loud that code comes on.. after a day or too driving it goes off but if I have heavy load it will come back on.

Francisco, we found code 4364/fm18. did t/s quantity test 123 ml also def contamination was ok 34 % also low temperature test both sensor reading 50 ppm each other then regen nox coversion 0000. Then ran low temperature atd with def metering electric plug disconnects intake nox sensor was reading 256 ppm out let nox sensor. Any ideas ??? Truck is restricted to 5 mph. 2011 Cascadia w/DD15. Help! DPF box?? Can we call you??

Hola. Estoy teniendo este código. La metering unit esta completamente limpia y todo funcionando. Pero no le llega el DEF. el voltage a la Bomba del DEF esta correcto. La bomba mide abajo de 400 ohms. Inlet air to pump it’s clean. No air pressure in the pump. I recharge to 44 psi and still have no DEF going through. Cual puede ser el problema?

I did an scr efficiency test and the box sensor readings where going up and down so I thought great replace nox outlet sensor but when the test was completed it said test complete check passed

The shop in Harrisburg ripped me off. The deviated from the PSL and replaced the inlet nox sensor. Then they replaced one box. Then they replaced the outlet nox sensor. Then they did not do the cause of failure. Is this a proper diagnosis of a 1 box failure? Thank you. Frank
