Good memories of touring these plants. So much cool stuff happening I forgot to keep my phone off and almost took a picture. The reaction to the phone out was priceless. Mostly because the tour guide that yelled out “Kyle NOOOO!” was a friend of mine. So much fun! Glad this video is out there!

I drive a 2017 cascadia s/a daycab with 540,000 miles and I prefer it to the 2021 cascadia s/a daycab I had as a rental. the 2017 door switches are better and it just seams more comfortable! I hope my truck makes at least 800,000 miles!
700,000 plus trucks on the road today Freightliner truck just had 60,000 recalled over the stirring mechanism investigation no one will say if terrorism plaid a roll
Give me a Volvo or Scania any day rather than an American-built truck. I bought an FL112 in 89 and dealing with spare parts (DAIMLER TRUCKS BRISBANE) was a nightmare.
Because Kenya is a risky investment zone. I am kenyan and I have observed, visited and analyzed industrial production in different countries both developed and developing. What I have observed in developing countries like kenya lacks skilled workforce. Kenyans might be educated but mostly basics. The technical schools in keny don't have the capacity to train students to the capacity seen in this video. Secondly, infrastructure is a problem too. Lack of roads or if not, roads that are sufficient enough to deliver or transport goods efficiently, example is a trucker will have a far easier time transporting goods from say California to New York which is 2500miles than a trucker in kenya delivering goods from Mombasa to Busia in western kenya which is 700-800miles. Roads do exist in kenya but very insufficient since they don't match capacity needed. Another aspect of infrastructure is electricity. With so many blackouts and lack of sufficient electricity impedes production. No one will want to run the equipment shown in the video then allover sudden there is blackout. Imagine rebooting the whole robot system everytime due to electricity shortage or blackout? corruption in the country impedes growth. In kenya in order your business to be left in peace, bribes is the only sure way to survive. Many companies will try to be ethical but such practices will discourage investors. Then security is another issue, by security I mean copyright and IP protection of course physical security too since gadgets for productioncan be stolen and end up in some black market.. In most of africa,Kenya, included,IP protection is either non existent or not enforced. No one in their right mind will want to invest knowing their research and secrets is likely to be accessed by some other competitor or even someone using it to cheat them their efforts. What kenya can do to attract such investments is to educate/invest the workforce for advanced technical jobs and production. Expand its power grid or electricity in regions suitable for such investment. Improve infrastructure of key highways, railways, airports and shipping ports.
Very disappointed in the new freightliners. Mirror placement is unacceptable, anytime it snows, rains or you use wiper fluid to clean your windshield it blows onto the side of your windows and mirrors. There’s no sense in the top bunk being so high that you have to use a ladder every time you wanna get something off of the top bunk. Why would you put a 12 V plug in the microwave cabinet? 120 V should be standard. I just got into a 2021 and I cannot wait to get rid of it
What factory is this i used to work at the Cleveland NC facility for about 8 years loved the job and the people Nafta destroyed it went from 4,000 employees to just over 1,000. This doesn't look like that factory but it's been years and yeas since i've been inside so they may have updated the way the production line is set up.
Hello There, Nice video! I need your suggestion. I am going to haul reefer and dry vans - light loads on mountains. I am going to buy a low maintenance truck with a DD15 engine 505 hp + 1750 torque. The first truck that comes to mind is Freightliner Cascadia but I really like Freightliner 122SD. I need to get advice on how Freightliner 122 SD is with maintenance and fuel efficiency? Thanks in advance.
Фредлаинер купил мерседес, остальной рынок занимает Вольво( 50% акций которого принадлежат китайцам). Чисто американских траков доля на рынке США 10%. ГЛОБАЛИЗАЦИЯ.
@@truckingjamaicans5045 Not similar enough for me, Though then again I've gravitated from the FLD120 Classic and 132 Classic XL to the more aerodynamic FLD120, Century and Columbia models. Love the looks of the Classic and Classic XL models, but now I'm at the mindset where if I could/would buy a truck it would be the FLD, Century or Columbia. Probably the FLD120 because of the interior.
Not USA it is built in Mexico????? They just through the parts and call it a truck then u have to take it to every dealership to fix it. If any body have any doubt let me know I bought one of this junk 2019 junkliner

It's such a shame these went from the absolute best to the absolute worst reliable truck on the road in a matter of 3 years. I had a 2016 Cascadia Evo with 600,000 miles on it and was only in the shop two or three times. Everybody I know that owns the new models from 2018 onwards have had nothing but issues and complaints. One friend said his 2022 has been in the shop 7 times in the last 6 months.
Freightliners are made in Mexico it’s not American made trucks because Iaai directly pick them up from the border and deliver them to the dealer so that tells you it’s not American made trucks western star is the same thing international is the same thing
