I appreciate what she said about not wanting to be too exposed. She just wants to be a good actress, artist, not a superstar. I respect and admire that very much. What a beautiful person.
Stay away from Hollywood Audrey if you have integrity for your craft. They would corrupt your beautiful spirit. She is so freaking cute that you just want to shield her from the ugliness in this world.
For sure. I'm so glad she dismissed Hollywood. Can you imagine her, who played Amélie Poulain, transforming into a Angelina Jolie or Nicole Kidman ? I mean, she would have lost all of her genuine charisma and personality.
This made me realize how wonderful she is as an actress. She really had to put everything into her English speaking roles judging by how difficult it was for her to communicate with them.
Yuiiski Yuii Are you serously!! I am french .I hate my french accent . The English or American accent are the most sexiest in french .This accent are my favorite.
For a non-native English speaker, she really expressed the Hollywood dynamic very well. Discretion and the Hollywood lifestyle certainly don't mix well (for the most part). Good for her for choosing to stay away from that. She, like many others, gets better parts in French cinema anyways :)
Yes, that’s why I never fully understand Hollywood actors complaining about fame like there weren’t any others ways to still be an actor. One who goes to Hollywood is usually looking for fame and big money.
That's odd, I'm french and I think her voice doesn't sound good at all when she speaking english ^^ in fact it seems like she's "forcing" to speak bad english, because even a french who speaks english very bad will never speak like that, we speak like that when we want to make a joke of our accent, but it's not natural at all
lovemilkshake I know a lot of people in France whose French is worst than that and they're not forcing' it or making fun. I don't like the sound of her voice either but I think she can express herself pretty well.
lovemilkshake Most French people can't speak English and those who can (like Audrey Tautou) have often difficulties to pronounce the words. It's pretty hard for French people to speak without their French accent...
Milphide E You forgot those that loves the languauge and learnt it, passing through university, where you really learn Linguistics and prononciation. That's a pity indeed, it's coming so late in State Education.
She reminds me pleasantly of a Parisian woman I had a love affair with when I worked Paris back in 1992. I was 27 and she was 36. Elegant, sweet, passionate and stylish. A magical 4 months in my life.
For three nights in a row I watched 4 movies acted by Audrey and each one was greater than the other. her acting on "a very long engagement" and " he loves me, he loves me not" were second to none. keep up the good work love :)
beatjunkybg wouldn't have happened if she was a Korean celeb, or any east Asian celeb.....they carry hoards of interpretors with them..... they take quite a pride in their language and faulty English, but it's part of their charm. Of course, India has a different spirit, you can be a polyglot if you choose to be.
She handled herself much better than most English speakers trying to stumble through French! The Americans are the most inept French speakers that I’ve heard. It’s basically nails on a chalkboard. And I’m American. Lol.
Understandably, she is bemused and embarrassed about these SILLY questions these presenters get a fortune to ask. She must come from this interview asking what the point was. Presumably, she wants to actually talk instead about acting?
Not necessarily. Maybe all she ever gets asked about is acting, so a change might be welcome. But, I agree about the presenters. They are pretty dire. I guess that's why they're morning breakfast tv presenters. Most folk with half a brain are already going to work, and don't have time to watch the morning tv poo poo.
@@AbcdEfgh-zh5wj Who mandated you to speak on behalf of Quebecers, Malagasy people and all French people? Too bad there is a significant percentage of French ethnomasochists. And you are truly part of it.
She looks better here than in her films IMHO. But in this interview she looked so nervous. I don't know if it's because she's not comfortable speaking English. Then again many great actors are very shy people. Surprisingly. I heard Madonna used to get so nervous she'd vomit before each concert but once on stage she was fine.
