The channel - Darlene in the Dordogne - is the life blog of an Aussie women who retired to SW France with her Aussie husband. It's quite interesting. My parents retired a couple of years ago and left the US for their native Central France (Cantal). They are positively thriving.

Oh thank you. I am an avid watcher of Darlene’s videos!!!! There are a couple of other Aussies moving to France and making RU-vid videos. Byron to Bordeaux is a great one. Their town house is lovely and La Petite Maison Burgundy. If you are from the Us you should definitely watch Our French Chateau with Lincoln and Amanda one of my favourites. What was unusual for us is that as Jersey residents we were never in the EU and so we had no vote in the uk Brexit move, because the island is totally independent. But because of the strong uk agreements with the island we were still affected.

Thank you, loving life here! Yes we bought a left hand drive car as it is so much easier to drive when on the French roads. Actually I love driving in France I think the country has some of the best roads in the world and so yes I do find it easy!
