I'd like to think there is a story behind everything we collect, display or stash away and what better way to use our collections than in an artisan journal. This video showcases 2 of the 5 journals that I have crafted using many pieces from my personal arsenal of fibers, papers, bits and bobs.

I meant to thank some artists that were inspirations for these journals but I was a little nervous and forgot! I want to acknowledge the many talented artists here on youtube that have been so generous with sharing their creations like amity bloom, nik the booksmith, creative cafe girl, jibid neary, beth wallen, the paper addiction, jenny marples and many more. There are many artists not on YT that have been big influences like DJ Petit, Judy de Rosa, Nancy Ann Jones and Nina Bagley.

Hi Robin - I am taking you class this Saturday. Love your journals. I got the supply list, plus the outline. Thank you. Regarding the dimensions of the journals...one says 8.5" tall X 4.25" wide. The other one says 10.5" X 8.5". Can you please clarify. Thank you.

Your journal is truly a work of love. Going to see more of your videos now...I found it hard to watch with the journal being lifted up and down. It takes a minute for cameras to focus and i started to get dizzy. Lol. Maybe keeping the journal on the table is better?

Hi Ana thank you for subscribing. Yes I will be teaching a class in May (which is sold out) and a class in June 10th at Piecemakers in Costa Mesa. It's a tassel and I posted it on my instagram and FB page if you want to look at it or go to piecemakers.com and look under classes, under beaded treasures. The name of the class is "ethnic eclectic tassel.

Hello, do you use a sewing machine to sew your pages? If so, do you think they could be hand sewn, or would the pages rip?? Thanks!

I don't sew the binding with a sewing machine if that's what you mean, it's a pamphlet stitch (hand sewn). The pages and other things I do sew with a machine. hand sewing them would probably rip the pages unless you are careful hope that helps.
