Hi James, do you know how the genetics are actually done, i know its through DNA but the actual process? Theres a newish DNA testing machine out called the Bento Lab DNA machine and its under 1000 quid i just wondered whether it was possible to learn to do it yourself with this instead of paying companies 100's of pounds, just thought youd be the man to ask, cheers

I have two French Bulldogs my girl is a blue pied named Marley and my boy is a blue fawn named Blue. They are my babies. I really want to breed them and was wanting to ask and expert opinion on what type of colors puppies they will have together. Marley carries (chocolate and tri) and Blue carries (Bb dd) I watched the video and still a little confused i think they will have blues that carries chocolate? from what I got from the video. Please help me out thanks in advance

My Female is a Blue Carrier Pied (Fawn Pied) She is the one on my Profile Pic. Her parents are Blue Pied and Fawn Pied like her. The stud i used is a Blue tan male that carries Cream, possible Choco Carrier. I get confused if i should still use the KY for FAWN or the S/S for Pied or both while calculating. Was wondering what possibilities do i have of having a blue covered in cream pups are? If there's any. I know for sure that i might have blue pied and solid blue pups (i hope) and all puppies will carry Tan points correct? I have a merle that carries one copy of cocoa. one eye is full brown and the other is half brown, half blue. Only her full brown eye has the red glow lol

welny landron both parents have at least one copy of each color to be able to make puppies of that color So a bb to a non choc no chocs Or a dd to a non blue no blues
I breed a male bb x female bb i Got all pups blue Were are those pups as far as Carriers i know the are bb But how strong is the gene there it is even healthly pups all blue out or both parents blue

Based on the litter I’m guessing your girl carries blue She has to carry cream As well I have 22 studs and a couple jump out as great matches. Sir humpalot a platinum and Picasso a lilacs tan merle that carries cream You will get lilacs platinums champagnes and chocs that carry bkue n cream. And with the Merle. Half merles too

Hi James, please elaborate on the recessive “ee” loci. What causes this loci to become red, yellow or cream? Also, which of these colors is most desirable if breeding for color? I’d imagine you would stray from this in a coat based breeding program due to it’s ability to mask other colors. Mentors are hard to find and I would like to thank you for sharing your years of experience.
