La Garde Republicaine à cheval n'a jamais été une unité de cuirassiers. Son "ancêtre" est la garde municipale de Paris qui ne portait pas non plus de cuirasse, c'était plutôt des dragons. Mais c'est vrai qu'avec une cuirasse, comme les horse guards, ça aurait de la gueule...
@@MajorDenisBloodnok La Garde Républicaine a été fondée par Louis Napoleon Bonaparte III le neveu du Premier Bonaparte. Ils ont l'air badass avec les Cuirassiers. Peut-être ils ne sont pas en Battle Mode
Et vu que ce ne sont pas des cuirassiers mais les descendants des 100 gardes de Napoléon III. Mis à part leur casque de dragon mdle 1874, leur héritage ne vient pas des dragons.

@@christophermichaelclarence6003 no, the cuirassiers come way before the Napoleonic Era, they come already from the 17th century at least. While the uniforms that we see have more of an origin with Napoleon I (but instead of the Third Empire red pants, they will have white pants which was standard during other Napoleonic Era armies), in fact the uniforms of the French Third Imperial Arms have origins from the Napoleonic Era, they will persist still after the Imperial Era till even the first year of WW1, the cuirassiers will still have an active duty in the Great War and you can still see the red pants (iconic of the Third Empire) in 1914 but dropped, with the unwillingness of the politicians as the blue and red on the uniform are very republican just like the flag and then adopting the Horizon Blue for their uniforms.
