I too found the picture distracting so loved how you updated the clock. Great tutorial re: using the masks and stamp placement. I think a lot of people stress about how best to place the stamps for a desirable scene. Jewellery box was my fave as I love toile.
Your projects are always beautiful and inspiring, as you have proven here. My favorite in this video is the jewelry box. The scenes you created are just perfect.
I loved everything and I think the clock turned out magnificent. I was also quite impressed with how you did the jewelry box. I learned some tricks along the . I will look at candles differently! Everything you make is very much my style so I am enjoying your lives very much.
I loved the jewelry box best because I absolutely love toile and I love those rural stamps. I must get them! I kept thinking, “I hope she paints the face of that clock, it’s too much with the simple look you have achieved. “ and…you did! Well done. Great video. Hank you. And thanks for showing how to use the blanks, wasn’t quite sure…..
I love all the projects but I'm partial to the jewelry box. I adore sheep so it's my favorite. It was a lot of work but it's beautiful now. The clock certainly is improved ❤❤
As always Erin, your projects turned out beautiful!! Hard to choose a favorite but I think it has to be the jewelry box. I too love toilet. TFS your Amazing talents with us!
Great job on the layout of the jewelry box, the masks are a great tool. I preferred the beautiful white on the clock, maybe a little something on the Roman numerals. Thank you for sharing!
I really appreciate how you explain why you are placing an element in a certai place---I am really terrible at composition & your video here is very helpful. Also I like seeing how to use the masks & blocks, as I'm new to stamping. Your items are lovely, thanks so much!
I wasn't sure if this stamp set was something I really wanted but oh my goodness ❤ you've changed my mind. I absolutely love love this jewelry box. ❤ I guess this will be my next purchase ❤❤
I'm glad you painted the clock. You highlighted the beautiful details and it is gorgeous. The jewellery box is definitely my favourite. I love the story you created using the stamps ❤️ ❤️ ❤
Hi, Erin I have several thrifted jewelry boxes that you have given me ideas how to make over, thanks. Everything you made over turned out so lovely. I’m a new subscriber, Carolyn.
The first thing I would have removed from the clock would have been the. pic in the center. I wish you had kept the gold numbers, though. I really like your outcome.
Erin I’m so glad you used the blanks for the stamps, so many people are intimidated by blanks and you showed how easy it can be. I really like the clock, I thought the picture was a little bright and too much with the white, so I think you made the right choice painting it. All the pieces are beautiful and well executed. ❤
Oh, I look so forward to your videos every single time they come out, I get inspired!! And learn so many tips and tricks. I do have a question though when you do the stamps and put the mask on. Are you heat drying the ink first?? Thank you so much for sharing as often as you do, even though I wish you could do one every single day… :-)
Thanks so much Tiffany. I find that I don’t really need to dry the ink before using the mask as long as I’m not overloading the stamp as the ink dries pretty quick. You just have to be carful when putting the mask down and taking them off.
The only thing I would have done differently to the clock would have been to use a fine brush and go over the hour numbers with a darker color so they can be seen from afar. That would have made it pop without clashing with the carved details.
Hi 😊 I am new to your channel and I love all of your ideas want to see more of your great ideas so I can make some of your great ideas myself thanks for sharing them to us all ,keep up the beautiful work that you do.😁
Good job painting the clock! There will be a rush in the thrift shops for all the pseudo capodimonte ceramics from the 80’s now because we can make them beautiful again!! ❤
The jewelry box is straight up gorgeous. I need to redo my box like that. Less is more sometimes, the clock is to ornate for my taste. Doing it this way made gorgeous. The candle holder is pretty but the box is my favorite.😊❤
Hi Erin, I love all these, the candle holder looks very beautiful and the clock looks beautiful, I really liked the picture on the clock face but now you’ve finished it looks gorgeous the way it is. My favourite is the jewellery box, it looks STUNNING painted in the butter cream, I l love that colour and with the stamps on it. It’s a gorgeous stamp set. TFS Erin and hope you enjoy your week.
I think the clock should be done in gold, in it's entirety. The face white with black digits to match the hands. The entire piece appears washed out to me and does not indicate old world French style, which is the style of my home. Gold figures prominently in my design. I do appreciate seeing the contrast between the shabby chic and European flavor of decor. My compliments, Thank you for sharing your talent and skill. 🙏
Love everything you do saying hi from Nova Scotia Canada I am one of your biggest fans. My only thing is after you make some thing and put it in your store I wish you would mention how much money you’re going to be selling it for then that would give us some kind of an idea of what it would be worth thank you for your time and keep the great videos coming ❤
Thanks so much Kimberly. I don’t always sell my projects, sometimes they’re for me or for display in my shop so that might be hard to do in my videos but I appreciate the feedback 😊
I definitely wouldn’t have painted over the picture in the middle… I hate that you did. Once you were through,I felt like the face was missing something. I don’t know if it’s because I knew you had covered up the picture or what. You did (and always do) an amazing job on everything. Everyone has different tastes and you will never please everyone. If you are happy with it that’s what matters…with everything you do.
