Cross-country trails at French Fort Cove are multi-use trails located in the hills rolling down to the Miramichi River. With a mix of singletrack for non-motorized use, and doubletrack trails.
Beginners:
Heading out from the parking lot, take Fish Quarry after a warm-up in the skills park. The climb is gradual to the plateau of the trail system.
intermediate:
From Fish Quarry, jump on Creaghan’s Gulch and ride the contour to Blueberry Ridge to loop back to several blue trails. On the ridge side of the Gulch loop, look for the rock lookout to snap an iconic FFC picture.
Expert:
Crow Brook is a great descent down the ridge in to the river valley with a challenging climb with switchbacks that will eventually lead back to Creaghan’s Gulch.
