The band KORK which is playing is a respected orchestra from Norway which always plays at the Noble Peace Price concerts in Norway. Angelina has sung with them at 2 of these concerts with them at 10 and 17 years of age. You should really listen to the second of these when they collaborate on Unchained Melody. It is the most beautiful music I have ever heard.

Firstly, Angelina rewrote the words to make them age appropriate. Secondly, when Angelina Jordan was 6 years old, she was living with her family in the middle east. One day she met a girl who worked as a street vendor there. The girl told Angelina "you have nice shoes" and in response, Angelina gave her shoes to that girl. The little girl also added that she wants to be a doctor, but has some doubts that she couldn’t be. Six year old Angelina asked the girl not to lose hope. At the end of the conversation, the little vendor said to Jordan that, "I’ll pray for you and you must remember me". So, to honor the Street Vendor Girl, Angelina doesn’t wear shoes while performing on stage.
The day before this video was recorded, her Mom saw the raunchy original lyrics & said if she wanted to sing the song she would have to re-write the lyrics. She put the finishing touches on the lyrics on the limo ride to the recording studio. So the papers she keeps referring to in the video, are her handwritten lyrics which she is singing for the first time. How many singer/songwriters could do that with only 1 days notice. That's talent! She was 10 in this, but the I Put A Spell On You was recorded when she was 9. It wasn't posted until a year later when she was 10, so many get that confused. Now you have reacted to 2 of her early performances, so you need to see something more recent, like her AGT-Champions performances of Bohemian Rhapsody & Goodbye Yellow Brick Road that were recorded last fall when she was 13. Angelina has her own style! Love the texture in her voice, the high notes and low notes she sings, her growling throaty sounds. Her grandmother playing jazz greats all her childhood influenced her quite a bit. Her mother was said to want her to sing Twinkle twinkle little star, but Angelina preferred jazz. God blessed her with this voice and the ability to use it in a way that it throws all of you off!! I love it!!!

Kevin Neal It is said that in the car on the way to the studio Angelina rewrote the lyrics so they were more fitting for a young person so sing. As one can see she has the hand written lyrics on the podium in front of her. Just a suggestion , it might be a good idea to begin with her first audition on NGT and listen the all four of her performances there. I have a difficult time picking one favorite, if I had to , the one which always brings tears to my eyes because of her emotion is her cover of A MILLION YEARS AGO. She has always done her own arranging of her songs since the beginning ( 6 yrs old) she is a rare gem...what in the world will she so d like at say 25? Wow!!! Hervoice is so different depending on the song. What child can do that? Notmany adults can?
I hope you continue down the Angelina rabbit hole. She has a unique way of matching her voice to the song she is singing. There are no bad choices when it comes to picking a song of hers to react to. If I had to recommend a strategy, I would look at Rusty Shackleford's Channel for a chronological playlist to work through. Not saying you should react to every song (although that would be fantastic), but you could pick a few from each year to see her progression from age 6 to 14.

Hey Marie. I'm so glad you're going down the Angie rabbit hole. =) Angie was 9 when this was recorded & released a year later. Back to Black Angie rewrote it. Angie was scheduled to record this song on April 22, 2016. Sara her mom wasn’t comfortable with the words/lyrics of the song. So Angie re-wrote them on April 21 to make it age appropriate, edited them on her way to the studio, recorded the song on April 22, and released it on April 23. You can see her glancing at the lyrics while singing. You can see Angie’s musicality & music intelligence at work, they’re off the charts already. She is beyond Amazing. I've been listening to her since I discovered her months ago but I still marvel at her voice everytime I listen to one of her songs. Just love this Angel and what a big heart she's got as well.

I'm still holding out for you is a masterpiece. Who would believe it is being sung by a 12 year old child. A child who has super intelligence. A musical genius who can remember all the words to over 125 cover songs, plus 3 she wrote. Can sing song after song for over a hour at her outdoor concerts with just a few sips of water in between.
