Not sure what you mean when you say "someone French Polish my..." Was this recent? Violin finish is usually not French Polish - it is a varnish. So you might show the instrument to a violin restorer.
Thank you for the reply. I didn’t think it should be FP either. I sent it in for repairs and evaluation and got it back with a cloudy FP. I wish I could send you before and after pictures. It looked nice for one day. But, sort of weirdly shiny when it had a front oiled finish look.
@@gailrivas762 As I said previously I am concerned that it was French Polished and nor varnished. If it was a guitar of mine and got bit cloudy I would do a spiriting off.
