Vive Le Roi (Long Live the King), alternatively known as Le Chant du Jura, is a French song written in 1814 to celebrate the restoration of the Bourbon Dynasty to the French throne. The song was written by Rouget de Lisle, who famously wrote La Marseillaise, the French national anthem.

The song is "Le Chant du Jura" by the way. Made by the same guy who made "La Marseillaise"! (It was initially written as a patriotic song for the French Royal Army of the Rhine before the Republican lyrics were added). Vive le Roy! ⚜ Bourbon Restauration!🏳🏳🏳

The one who wrote this song also wrote la Marseillaise is a fact that I simply cannot get over. His first song, which was la Marseillaise is so anti-monarchy that it's hard to believe that he was a supporter of Louis XVIII and Charles X, though he became disillusioned with the latter in 1830, during the Second French Revolution (1830-1832).
