On top of that, testimony from the festival organizers made it clear that it was moved closer to the Gaza border, and that it was extended another day after the original dates had passed without incident. Maybe that's meaningless to you, but to me it sounds like the festivalgoers were deliberately used as bait because just attacks on military targets would not be enough to justify an invasion

I think you have to go somewhere for a time to really know. I was in Israel in 2014. At the time there was a lot of contention about the wall. Being on the Israeli side of it helped me see their point of view because it felt safer but I also understood it from Gaza’s point of view. I am curious to know how it works though- can people drive through at certain times as with the peace-walls in Belfast?
