@battle tv I hope that people come for the music, and in all honesty I don't really like clickbating. But you have to have something to catch peoples attention.
First time I listened a frenchcore mix (Frenchcore Seizure mix) in this channel 9 months ago. Now I am huge fan of frenchcore. Thx and share more of your choices from frenchcore please 🎶🎧
Gabbaaaa Till My MF Balls Fall Off!!
Hey HoC, I have a question about gabber, namely old-school gabber. In the US, where I live, gabber is almost non-existent. I was wondering, though, if there is still an active old-school (pre '98) gabber scene in Europe. Thanks.
Well there's Thunderdome which returned this year after a break of a couple of years- you can read more about it here: facebook.com/events/jaarbeurs/thunderdome-2019-official-event/551263862036105/ and more info here: www.thunderdome.com/ But other than that I don't really know of any- I don't live in Holland myself, well not anymore anyway, so if any Dutch people are reading this feel free to help out :)
It's not really my area of expertise, but I would suggest to check some Dutch parties. This is the country the scene originated in (gabber is a Dutch word actually), and I expect there to still be an active community.
There is still a gabber scene in Germany mainly in the Ruhr area, Berlin, Hamburg and Frankfurt. Though its often together with Hardcore/Hardtekk/Speedcore.
*core 4 life, there are many beautiful hard songs in this compilation. Some tracks sounded more like Hardcore to me, but the borders between both are often fluent for listeners.
According to wikipedia it originated in France in the early 90's and later started to catch on other places in Europe as well - Paste of original text below: Frenchcore (undergenres: Tekno, Tribalcore both often promoted as entirely free dance music): Originated in the French rave scene of the early 1990s. Involves the re-creation of a distorted bass drum sound with a synthesizer. It is also considered a type of free tekno.[32] Frenchcore achieved wider recognition in 1998 with the release of Micropoint's first album Neurophonie. Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hardcore_(electronic_dance_music_genre)#Subgenres Hope it helps answering your question ellen :)
Every core style has its own charasteristics, the ones of frenchcore are BPMs between 180 and 240m, mostly french voice samples and the usage of a synthesizer.
basically neurophonie & anesthesie internationale from micropoint also stuff from tieum or hellfish from the same period, now it's just a meme word for hardcore with heavily distorded kicks
I honestly wish I knew mate- my channel isn't even monetized... So the revenue earned from the ads hopefully ends up in the artists pockets. But more than likely most of it probably ends up in the pockets of google/youtube. By the way if you wish to avoid the ads you can use an adblocker- I can recommend adblock plus: adblockplus.org/ it's a plugin for your internet browser and it's free :)
Yeah I agree the ads are annoying as hell :/ They have been placed by youtube and sadly there is no way for me to remove them. There are a couple of ways to avoid them though. Use an adblocker like adblockplus adblockplus.org it's a plugin for your internetbrowser and it's free. or you can listen to the mix on my soundcloud: tiny.cc/71byfz or my mixcloud:tiny.cc/y2byfz Both sites cost nothing to use and there are no interrupting ads :)
