What is the modern technique of singing and can you maybe give an example of good vs. bad singing ? I would really like to understand what the young woman in the clip did wrong. Was it the wrong placement of the tone and how can you fix this?
Exactly!!! I felt frustrated to with her. The singer has bad breathing technique and hence sings with so much construction and no Ring in her voice. Plus I wonder why they have a mic up there though?
The thing is very simple: Mirella Freni is an excellent singer, she indicates the fulcrum to her pupil, but she is not a teacher, and does not know how to project the voice forward. Teaching: you have to learn it! I learned both: singing and teaching technique. 10 years of study for that!
You can't project your voice forward. You can PLACE your voice forward and the voice goes where it goes. Projection is something that happens you can't make it. ( but I know what you meant)
questa masterclass non fa onore all' immensa Artista. Si può essere grandissimi cantanti, ma pessimi insegnanti. Peraltro dice cose sacrosante e giuste, ma c'e modo e modo. E comunque la masterclass a prescindere, impostata stile "gogna pubblica" è sbagliata..

È totalmente Mostruosa. La soprano a avuto un coraggio incredibile io sarei scapata .tutti i suoi accuti erano perfetti .freni ha avuto una principessa davanti a lei e ha voluto distruggerla non ha riuscito ..si è distrutta lei stessa e per l eternità con queste videos .è un disastro puro
I couldn't understand but I think Freni wanted more space in the back and placement at the bridge of the nose. It seemed like she heard the singer just starting at the glottal and pushing the tone out of her mouth rather than letting it spin freely from the head or head tone....
I agree. I wonder if the issue with most of the singers in this series is the fact that they are Russian. The Russian tongue is further back than the Italian tongue. It seems that most of them developed their techniques without first getting the tongue position more forward. I'm not sure Freni knew how to describe this though, since she was both Italian and a natural singer, so she ended up trying to get them to wedge the voice into the mask.
La traduzione fa molto desiderare! A me mi é rimasta proprio sulle scatole l'interprete perché aveva un atteggiamento superficiale non avendo una minima idea su quanto è delicato il nostro instrumento ...Masterclass per i cantanti deve traddure una che canta o almeno che capisce un po' nel canto!!!... Non é sufficiente tradure le parole devi far capire il senso, rendere l'idea...certe cose che diceva la Freni erano tradotte male e la ragazza non capiva che cosa deve fare! Io che parlo intrambe lingue ho notato questo e se fosse al posto della ragazza mi sarei pure trovata in difficoltà. Ovviamente Mirella dopo diverse volte che ripete le stesse cose si é agitata, ma se uno traduce piu o meno e non esattamente è la gara dura per capire...
Да, вот так зажато, не полетно, не свободно, без объема поют голоса в музыкальных театрах Москвы, главное картинка, внешность , прокачивать вокал не надо(( Френи показывает , что ситуация в вокальных учреждениях , театрах в Москве просто ужасна! Я сам работаю в театре и наблюдаю деградацию певцов, артистов наших, к большому сожалению! Всем желаю не торопиться с карьерой певца , певицы, а выучится как следует, чтобы не травмировать себя и зрителя) Всем удачи!!!
Mirella Freni donne d'excellents conseils mais elle ne dit pas comment il faut faire pour y arriver. En réalité il faut tout reprendre en vocalises avec un changement de technique de cette élève.
Ms.Freni is not very encouraging,and kind of grumpy….She doesn’t seem to have the words to communicate what she wants the student to do….Shrieking and making faces isn’t working….
Questa Soprano é perfetta !! Non si capisce cosa altro voglia la Freni .... e inoltre trovo orribile che la Freni si comporti così “male” con questi giovani .
