BE WARNED: I'm 6'0", 195. I ordered the Large from True Classic Tees. They fit perfectly out of the package. I washed these one time and dried them on low. They shrunk about 3+ inches in length and the neck seam shriveled up significantly (went into the wash thick and strong and came out skinny and soft). These are not preshrunk. Order larger than you normally would or you too could be stuck with over-priced "baby-gap" tee shirts (they do not accept returns or exchanges once washed).
Yesssss!!! I kept thinking this every time I see one of these reviews. Alot of shirts look great when pulled straight from the package. Now wash, and dry them all 3 times, then tell me how they fit. That's the test we all need to see. All these reviews showing tee shirts right out of the pack is no test.
I love how hard you were trying to keep it fair and objective...mad points there. I also love that there was no swearing in this video so I can watch it around my kiddos. Great content creator.
Solid, detailed review. I wear Next Level as my basic "do whatever" tshirts. Word is: Fresh Tees are rebranded Next Level and other bulk purchased tees. Tried True Classic b4 in L and it was too small. Gonna try an XL soon bc I remember they were really soft but a little thin. This detailed review is beyond on-point. Thanks!!
I'm all in on the Next Level brand t-shirts. I can't see myself paying 18.99$ for a t-shirt when Next Level 6440 brand is half the cost and just as good. Nothing against this brand, just personally I won't pay that price.
I can definitely vouch for the True Classic tees. They are insanely comfortable and have quickly become my favorite thing to wear especially since I'm working from home these days. They also have a good selection of colors. I would say be careful not to put them in the dryer and instead air dry them to avoid them shrinking too much.
I just got mine but I have to say I am extremely underwhelmed. They are nowhere near as soft as I expected, and they're almost making me itchy when I wear them
Lol!! As a tshirt guy, that tag residue is a big no-no for me. When I was printing on blanks, before it even goes to the customers, I make sure those tags are off and the only thing you see are my logo. Fresh clean tees got some explaining to do.. lol! $30-$40 for a shirt that they don't even produce.. GTFHO. That looks like a Next Level soft feel athletic fit..
Great review! Recently retired, and sworn never to wear a tie, or uniform again (until my trip to the crematorium), I’ve been wearing tech shirts….great for a sweaty work out, trail hike, run or bike ride….not so much for regular wear. So in the market for some quality, easy care t shirts. By the way, You have a personable screen persona….as if sitting and talking in the same room! Thanks again, amigo, for the thorough (and in my case) timely review.
good review. I have ordered both Fresh Clean and True Classic brands. I found the True Classic to have inconsistent crew neck elastic and inconsistent (baggy) around the waist. The Fresh Clean T’s i purchased did not have the collar paper tags that were seen in this review. For me I found the Fresh Clean T’s to work better for me.
Great video! Was trying to decide between these two brands and you answered all the questions perfectly. Wouldn’t mind a follow up video to see how they hold up in wash since some people have complained about shrinkage
True Classic not including secondary packaging inside could be more bleeding heart stuff. Its environmentally friendly, cutting down on single use plastics, which is a win in my book.
I have tried both. True classic is way softer, however, there was no consistency in the way they fit. Some fit great other were weird.. Fresh clean tees look amazing on me. Make me look buff. And all the shirts fit the same.
These are Next Level 6410 blank tees. You can buy em for about $7 a tee on most wholesale sites. They're doing the same thing Fresh Clean tees is doing except have 3x the mark up
I'm a fairly athletic guy about 6ft and around 195lbs. and for all of the hub bub about True Classic...they don't make a shirt that fits me??? They were super accommodating as far as customer service but none of the sizes really worked. (Tried XL, XLT, and XXL) I bought one pack of XL Fresh Clean Tees and they fit PERFECTLY! They are cheaper, ship faster, and fit better imo. My T-shirt problems are solved...👍😊
Tightness in the collar is a must unless you like the Ricky Gervais V-neck. I bought the True Classic 3 pack and think it's the most comfortable T-shirt I've ever worn.
True Classic have tight necks? Tight neck a must, hate loose necks! Do they have room in the waist? Have a belly to hide but the rest is normal. Need tight necks/arms and belly hider! Do True Classics have those features?
Great video. Would definitely appreciate info on how these things are after a few washes and dry cycles. Thank you for transparency with these reviews!!
I bought a six-pack of True Classic in the various colours at the end of December, and I've been wearing them almost daily ever since. They get thrown in the wash at around 40ºC with detergent (the white one will sometimes go at 60º with bleach), and I've not noticed any change in colours or fit yet. They usually go on a hot tumble dry cycle after. They're still washing really well and keeping their fit and shape.
I came here because I saw an ad for Fresh and Clean Ts and it made a claim that their Ts will hide your beer belly or gut if you have one and i wanted to see if it was true. Doesnt really look like it. Looks like just a regular T. So thanks for the review!
True classic tees are great. Haven’t experienced any shrinkage. I wash them with cold water and hang to dry. Haven’t tried drying them with them laid out but can’t imagine a difference.
Bro, first things first: TY, you steered me right apparently, because there ain't no damn stock left!! So you know, I made my purchase based on this video . THX again
I haven't tried True Classic, But I'm on my second order of Fresh Clean after having been using them as work shirts for the past year and a half. I will say as a bigger guy the Fresh Clean Tees fit very well and are super flattering around the arms while fitting well at the waits. I was going to try True Classic to compare but they don't make anything in a 3× so I'm kinda outta luck. I can squeeze into a 2× depending on brand but I'm not about to take the risk with an online order. Also I'll add that my Fresh Clean Tees Haven't had that Rip Away tag as shown in this video so that's very weird. Maybe the tweezer guy was on break 🤣.
I really didn't believe the rip a way residue. so grabbed my fresh clean tees and sure enough you were right. I have and really like fresh clean tees, no fit issues and no shrinking after wash. However I may try true classic, however the shrinkage reports would be concerning
My order of True Classic tees should be arriving today. My husband has been wearing the Fresh Clean tees, so we’re anxious to compare. Enjoyed your review!
I bought Bella Canvas 3100 and 3413. 3100 is 100% cotton and I've had them for year and they still look new. They were $6. It's a solid weight shirt. The 3413 is a tri blend and lighter weight shirt. It was $8. This shirt hangs closer to the body. If you have pecs it will show them off. I can't see spending $20-24 for a Tshirt. You should compare the F&C and TC Ts to the shirts I bought. I liked your review.
I may have been born yesterday but I stayed up ALLL night! HAHAHAHA! I've been buying TC for a few years now. The larges I bought initially fit great. Now their larges are enormous on me and the mediums are too small. I'm considering trying out FCT to see if they're any better.
Your review was so fun to watch! You answered all my questions including ones I didn’t even knew I had 😅Thanks for helping me decide which T-shirts’ to buy for the holidays!!
I have been buying t-shirts from way back in the day when Towncraft was the t-shirt to buy at J.C. Penny. Unfortunately they outsourced out of the country and the t-shirt neck was no longer tight and the material was flimsy so I dismissed that brand. Then once in a while I would find an off brand with a good tight neck and good fit. I have now moved on to the thick ones from Pro Club. They have the tight neck but the flimsy sleeves, but still the best I have seen for now. I clicked on the True Classic t-shirt one day and they took over my computer and social media. Anytime I logged on they came up like a flea sucking the blood out of me. I decided to give them a try and ordered large as that is my size. I realize all companies make clothing different sizes and some large are really medium and some large are truly large. I ordered the pack for 95 and ended up paying 105. I used to have a printed t-shirt business so I know the true price of a t-shirt is between 1.99 to 3.99, depending on the amount you buy. They took forever to be delivered. Then when I got them and I immediately put one one, because they bragged so much in their commercials. My experience was not good, A large is super tight and I am only 5'9" 175lbs. The material is super thin and flimsy. I tried to return and the site told me they are not accepting returns in my area right now. WTF!!! I kept trying and trying until after the 20th try it accepted my return and gave me a scan code. I lost about 10 dollars in shipping and taxes. I DO NOT RECCOMEND True Classic.
best all around shirt is the cheap George brand they sell at Walmart. the blank shirts. they are the most comfortable and last a long time. they also cost 6 dollars each. and yes i have tested this over a decade
Appreciate this video bro! I was all hyped up about Fresh Clean and actually bought t some! I didn't catch that! I even contacted them and asked if they did wholesale because I liked them so much. Just not the price.. Good catch bro thanks!
I have had both and the torso on the fresh and clean is way more fitted and less boxy than true classic. The neck is better fitted as well. The true classic tee fit felt more box store basic to me.
Thank you very much for posting your video review. I was stuck in the middle of purchasing True Classic Tees & Fresh and Clean Tees. You definitely helped me make my decision on the T-shirt brand to purchase...Thanks again!
Hey man, thanks for the review and the heads up about fresh! I was actually going to order from them and then I saw you discover the "ripped" tag and I was like oh hell no!!
He mentions the plus in delivery time for True Classic. I ordered my True Classic T's on July 14th, 2022. I just got an email saying they should be delivered today, July 22, 2022.Not quite the delivery turn around advantage seen here. I am most concerned about the shrinkage others have warned about. I will post back after air drying.
I purchased 3 TC tees. The tees were large but all fit differently. One fit perfect tight arms, slim waist. The other two were both loose in the waist, not tailored, and had differing neck sizing. I was disappointed
Thanks for the video.... im a 3x and I battle on shirts ..... I always buy fruit of the loom and have for years I wear them Out and I wear the to Work... and I wear them all the time.... but I'm in need of something better because they don't last long.....thanks!!... your reviews are great
My shipping experience was the opposite of yours. FCT in under a week, and TCT was exactly 2 weeks. Both orders were $120. But it's not like I live in the Boondocks -- I live in the suburbs near an Amazon hub and I get next-day deliveries often. I'm not so sure I'm going to reorder from TCT ever again because 2 weeks is ridiculous. I'm ok with 1 week, but that's limit.
For me the fresh classic tees held way better than the true classic. I bought a few of the Black from true classic and they both got messed up and some what faded, what I do like from true classic is how the collar is staying together.
Bought true classics before, and personally they are my favorite shirts. Fitted and feel clean, no loose hang when you lift your arm and expose your armpit. My only problem with it is the price, 60$ for 3 shirts. If you buy them, wear them on occasion but not too often, unless you start getting more later on.
i bought true classic and fresh clean tees and thrn next level t shirts and found out they are all the same t shirts. and if u look at the stitching/hem work on left shoulder it is all the same. so i stocked up on next level t shirts. check the inside of the collar and they all stitched the same way … buy another set of true classic and you will see the same rip away tags. overall great video. thank you
I just went to the true classic website and you're literally on their website lol. Seems a bit tilted. But either way, they looked much better. But it was also over $100 for 6 shirts. Maybe I'm just cheap but I'd never pay that for basic plain shirts.
You’re not cheap, that is a little pricey. That said, $16 per isn’t the worst you could do for good quality shirts. I’m wearing one right now, they fit great, and look good. Try 3 out, pretty sure you can send them back if you aren’t satisfied. I never buy things without trying them on, and I’m glad I did with true classics. Edit: spelling.
Bottom line fresh clean tees are the same quality as true classic, however both brands are too expensive and you can get t-shirts at jiffy shirts for six bucks each and even less. I get their t-shirts with crew neck and also in v-neck, and I also buy their tank tops. They have a lot of colors too, more than either fresh clean tee or true classic. True classic claims that they hide the tummy a little bit and that they accentuate your arms. They do in fact accentuate the arms. And I do think they fit better than the fresh classic tees, but I find that jiffy fits just as well as true classic. Okay I'm done ranting now. Oh, one more thing: All three brands shrink when you dry them, to some degree, but I don't care as much about a bit of shrinkage when I'm paying five to six bucks a t-shirt versus the ridiculous price of true classic and fresh clean tees.
Thank you for this video. I have to say though, the True Classic Tee looks VERY different on you compared to the Fresh Clean Tee. The True just seems to fit more seemingly. I only mentioned this because you say that they're fit almost the same. It may feel that way but it definitely did not feel that way. Thank you again.
