My favourite part of every episode is when Gordon goes to the freezers and shoves his bare hands in every disgusting thing he can find. He absolutely loves it, you can tell

The way this woman is so quick to blame everything on Saki, while simultaneously managing to spend the restaurant's money and not be useful

Saki actually seems like a good dude, the way he takes responsibility after Gordon finds the fridge. "I can blame everyone. But the bottom line is me."

Jennifer seems like a person who can cry on the spot then laugh the next minute.

Update: Spin & Yarn are still open and have decent reviews. They got a new chef in 2012 shortly after this aired. Saki and Jennifer are now divorced, but they say they are still close friends. She is still co-owner, and helps at the restaurant. She also kept his last name. Saki is listed as single on his Facebook page.

The way that girl looked at Jennifer after she poured the left over wine into the new glass has me laughing

"I cant believe white Oprah is sitting in my living room" and Gordon just looks at the camera like WTF did she just call me?

I love the waitress' face after he said "Fresh Frozen, Fresh Frozen out of can."

Why is no one talking about Victor? He literally saved everyone by being prepared with another prime rib, he 100% deserves a raise

Spending a million remolding a building you don't even own is INSANE! They probably could have purchased the property for that and have an actual asset

And the first interaction we see between the "lovely couple" is her walking into the kitchen more than halfway through Gordon's "meal", sweet Saki simply putting an affectionate hand on her shoulder, needing some connection and support at that moment, and that one touch was enough for her to immediately snap at him with "its hot back here" and just turn on her heel and run. Saki deserves so much better than that.

Its nice to see such genuine love on this show. I truly think the love Jen has for Jen will endure forever.

Shocking how Jen blames her husband and takes no responsibility at all as a co-owner. To say her husband doesn't communicate and she's the one hiding behind a curtain sneaking around avoiding him. Felt sorry for Saki, even his head chef brushed off responsibility.

A short story about her: - I lied about the job experience - I wouldn't date him, because he is ugly - I saw he had money and power - We came together, he spoiled me and i ''fell in love'' with him - I have taste for expensive stuff so he needs to pay - its his fault the restaurant is going down - I'm about to leave because money is disappearing Bye

Saki is not one of the worst restaurant owners on the show. He didn't engage in yelling or gaslighting, and eventually took accountability for his failures.

I'm a Fremont local and actually was binging Kitchen Nightmares during the pandemic and was curious so I ordered out from them a few times, the foods great! Once restrictions eased I visited in person and the bartender was so friendly and kind, they host community events like musicians and comedy shows too.

She got all giddy when the hockey players showed up! 😅

My goodness I felt sorry for that guy when his daughter snapped "This is my restaurant, as much as it is yours" . His reaction was a massive slap in his face. He is so stunned, as if silently saying "I have been expecting to hear this, from my wife for so long". It is a pity as he does not give up on her mistake after mistakes. She gives up on him very easily when things go wrong. No money she will be gone.

The fact that Mikayla is 14 and knows more about how a restaurant works than EITHER of her parental figures is jaw-dropping. She's amazing and very strong for having to put up with these two. She should also be running the place cause she clearly knows what she's doing. Saki and Jennifer are too stupid for this

Tbh I don’t blame Mikayla for being a bit bratty. Who can blame her with a mother like that? She still acts more mature than her parents and helps out at the restaurant.

Spin A Yarn Steakhouse are still open. They returned some dishes to the menu as requested by regulars and reviews are positive with the prime rib remaining a big hit with diners.

Besides the fact that Gordon always interacts beautifully with the servers (wich is usually fair), unless they really, really are a problem, I do love it when a server understands the essential task of delivering not only his uneaten food but also his exact snarky feedback verbatim to the kitchen. It's always funny and the people who are at fault need to be the ones to hear it.

It‘s always so strange. Ramsay, with his reputation as a cursing sob, loud, rude and all you see so often, also has this calm side, this deep respect for produce and food, this empathy for families. It almost seems he can be two completely different persons, but strangely enough, he manages to be both at the same time. Huge respect for the guy.

I liked it how the elderly couple next to Gordon’s table was having a blast while hearing him roasting the food. 😂

We've seen a lot on this show but a $950k remodeling of a property you do not even own still somehow stands out...

I bet there's more salt in Saki's shirt alone than there is in that entire restaurant.

I'd love to see Jen pour a pint of Guinness, that would be a comedy skit in itself.

Ok, so I watched three episodes so far, and I think I got how the show works: Gordon comes to a restaurant, tastes a vast selection of the menu, finds everything absolutely disgusting, makes someone cry, leaves for the day, returns next day and gives a prep talk, all get excited, Gordon brings in a team overnight to give the restaurant a complete make-over, all are very excited, someone cries, finally - relaunch night, all starts off really well, all are excited, something goes seriously down the crapper, Gordon is scolding everyone, the rest of the night goes well again, all are happy, Gordon leaves, restaurant makes it - or not. I think that's it. Rinse and repeat with every episode.
