Front end on the pre-facelift W212 is so good looking. Aggressive yet elegant. I know most people prefer the facelift W212 front end, but I think the pre-facelift is far superior and unique.
You're videos are informative & interesting. You have good taste in cars & you're detail work is second to none. To the avg person that Mercedes looks like 60k$ worth of luxury- performance.
I would fab up some sort of cover for the distronic radar unit. Those are prone to damage and one rock will make it inoperative. Should be easy to do. Looks nice.
Big Fan! Wish I had your Tech skills. I have 2009 S550 and I keep well maintained through mechanic work. I have spent thousands of dollars on maintenance. Parts really not bad it’s the labor. I actually just did the same to my bumper got repainted due to years of rock chips. Total cost me 900 dollars for paint and labor. Smh
Hey man great job on fixing up the lights and the bumper. I would highly recommend doing PPF on the head lights including the drls as they will go back to that hazy old look again.

that cover is to protect the distronic plus from rocks chips . is an expensive fix if a rock cracks it . I kept mines on. I have friends who damage theirs by switching the grill out.
Dude your stuff is always on point. I don't even have a Mercedes and I watched the whole thing. I agree with the thick clear comment - I try to lay it on the same way. I love the Mamo shirts in the videos - he lives up the road from me and I'm building one of his LS7's.

When I did my chrome delete I had the chrome grill painted and I wish I didn’t because the rock chips will show the chrome under at some point sooner then later. I’m buying a blacked out grill now for it.

I’d think the cover is just incase your behind someone and they happen to kick up a rock , it’ll hit the protective case instead of the unit itself n possible crack it. ( assuming it’s not cheap ) but I’d run the grille without the cover either way, it looks way better. Imho
Love those wheel sizes man and wish l could put them on mine! Unfortunately the UK road system is so s##t and dilapidated the bumps and crashes into potholes the size of small animals would be so uncomfortable it would be a waste of money! ☹️

Because you are, obviously, very talented when it comes to „working on a car“. I really was amazed by the fact how awesome your paint job went, hands down, respect! Second: After driving this W212 E63 with the M156 engine, how do you like it, compared to your old and BEAUTIFUL W211 E55? I know, you really can’t compare the glorious M113K with a NA M156, but I would like to hear what you are saying and feeling. Third: I always thought that you must have „working“ 😉 side markers in the US. Is that fact different from state to state? Fourth: Was the „newer“ W212 E63 with the M157 ever a choice for you to buy? Because this engine is for obvious reasons way more „responsive“ for engine tuning or „getting bigger numbers on the dyno“. Don‘t get me wrong, I really love the sound of the M156 engine, it is in my eyes one of the best sounding engines ever. Okay, that was it 😆 Again, I do hope it doesn’t bother you too much that I wrote such a long comment, but I found your channel a few weeks ago, and I’ve watched almost all of your W211 videos. The main reason for all of my questions: I am currently looking for a good W211 E55/S211 E55, and I‘m looking for almost a year now. But most of the cars here in Germany are imports from Japan or are cars from the US with a „slightly damaged“ carfax 🤔😉 So I started looking for a newer E63, W212 E63/S212 E63. But when it comes to the W212, I do not really know if I should buy the model with the M156 or with the M157. Now I finish typing 😝 Okay, one final „word“: The wheels you‘ve put on your car are BEAUTIFUL 🤤 I will definitely try to check if we here are allowed to mount those wheels onto an E63, but here in Germany we do have the TÜV and to drive a car legally on the road, every part on a car needs to have a assessment, and I don‘t know if those rims have one for the German market. I do wish you a good start into the week, and again sorry for the long comment. Damn makes me wanna pull apart my cls550…….have you tried to fit you factory center caps on those rims….when I put rohana rims on my mbz the factory caps fit right in!!!
I also thought the distronic cover on E and S class cars is ugly AF. My S-550 doesn't have distronic but I want to black out my grille. I am probably going to buy a spare chrome one and black it out so that I can swap if I ever want to change it back to chrome. Good to know that it can work without the ugly grille. On my S-Class I had a similar style exhaust. I took out the secondary bullet cats and replaced with an X-pipe in that location. Left the factory resonator, and then removed the rear mufflers and made some pipe to replace them and welded on the stock AMG tips to keep it looking OEM from the back. It has a nice deep tone around 2000 rpm but no drone in the car. I almost wish it was a little louder but it's just enough to sound mean but classy. I didn't want to do full straight pipe because it sounds too raw. I might remove the resonator and then add in some chambered mufflers at the back, not sure, or I might leave it. I drove out to Cali and had OE Tuning tune the car for me and I bought their flash loader, so I have 5 tunes on it, stock, 91 octane performance, 91 octane performance with exhaust burble, 110 race gas, and a valet tune that limits it to 45 mph. We only have 91 octane pump gas out west.

I have order the black grill from w207 coupe in black for my car. I hope it will work, it looks very good. But in the discription was standing not working on distronik, lets see if it will work? Don't like it. Makes it look likle a drug dealers car. Going all black for me is way too much and takes away the cars character. Leave the grille chrome.
