I have a policy about spending an appropriate amount of money on anything that separates me from the earth. This includes but is not limited to plane tickets, shoes, my mattress, and tires.
I bought a Ducati with its stock tyre. Full tread. Replaced it because it had a the smallest amount if cupping. My mate thought I was crazy and wanted it. So I gave it to him but also warned him. He thought I was nuts. Well, after he low sided the next day he realised that he didn’t cheap out when those medical bills came in. Moral of the story, don’t cheap out on your wheels. Plus the SP super Corsa’s are amazing!
So you’re saying a DOT street tire was not make for more than “a couple heat cycles”? If I buy a new set of Battlax S23s per se, and my tire looks like the middle one (with the tread depth of the one on the left) after 1 track weekend, 180-200 miles… you’re telling me to replace it…
