My first choice is Durham but I am a bit worried about the whole issue with the bullying against the lower classes by the upper class. I’ve read several articles about it and I don’t want to face that at Durham. Does that really happen or is it just the media portraying it as a bigger issue than it really is?
First of all, please don't worry about that as on the whole there are many lovely people and if there are any who aren't very nice, you just don't have to associate. I think everywhere has a balance of people so surround yourself with goodness and positivity and it'll all be great! :)
Thank you so much for clarifying all of this!!! I’m starting masters there next week and you made me feel much better 😌 love your videos, you’re such a nice person 😊
You're very welcome lovely! :) I'm so glad that I've helped you feel better, that makes me happy! You will really love Durham, it's got a magical 'vibe' and it's a gorgeous place to live too. Thank you so much, that's so lovely of you to say :)
Oooh this is such a good question! I sometimes think about this actually! I think I would choose either St. Chads as that college looks so nice and olde worlde, it's right in the centre of town and they have a really nice bar, or Hild Bede as it is quite a big college and they had great drama facilities too! :)
The regular ones aren't - they can vary a bit depending on if there was a special theme for that particular formal which could make it a bit more expensive but usually they are between £9 - £14 (that doesn't include wine though!) :) Some of the formals which have a speaker attend cost more - at Mary's they usually hold one in first term and it was called Michaelmas Dinner. xxx
Yes absolutely! So I would say that Durham will be a more traditional and 'olde worlde' experience, and with Durham you know that you'll be experiencing some world-class teaching. Durham has great transport connections to the rest of the country too. Out of the two, personally I would choose Durham as I love the atmosphere of this city and the aura of the place is really quite magical. Even though it's small, you won't get bored in Durham and it's a very scenic place to live :) I hope this helps!
@@arthuralexander9981 overall yes, but for my subject Durham ranks 4th in the world. I agree with the nightlife though :( but I still think Durham will be good and I'm not much of a party goer anyway
