True. Even the nicer/newer areas in North Fresno, tends to have a lot of potholes. The dividing line between prosperous (north)and poor (south) used to be Shaw Ave, but the dividing line keeps moving northward every year.
Thats our corrupt california government pocketing the tax money while our infrastructure goes to shit along with schools, crime going up, homelessness is out of hand and not to mention the outrageous amount of taxes we pay here. For cali having a huge economy that can compete with countries, we are in bad shape.

@@mobbedout2894 dude literally I’ve been to many parts of Fresno and they look nice. Maybe you are referring to the outskirts of Fresno. I used to think Fresno was a small rundown town but it’s a big city it has mayor freeways and the pines lining up avenues and stuff. There’s so many nice neighborhoods with nice yards. That’s all I ever seen. Some homeless here and there but nowhere as bad as San Jose where I come from. Fresno is a nice city overall. I would say every city has ghettos Fresno is no exception.
You come into my city where I was born and raised. And say the most violent areas. You didn’t even know where you where going. All you did was drive in circles. Just because you looked on line don’t think you know everything about Fresno.
this is actually an improvement, it seems more tame and settle down now. if you didn't live here in the late 80's you don't know what dangerous and violent is. 😂
It was worse in the mid to late 90s. The highest murder rates in Fresno history are in the 90s when it rivaled Oakland regularly. We came close to breaking the record during the pandemic though. Oakland was the only city that beat us for murders during the pandemic. People got desparate.
@@ramonw9430 Oh yeah, i believe you, i live there late 80s up to mid 90s than my family pack up n got the hell outta there. we live in East Clay, my elementary school was Mayfair n middle school was Yosemite. I got shot at walking home from school, i got beat up at 7eleven video game inside there, and in middle school it was hell zone, Mexican gangs, bloods n crips, at lunch time, people get stab n getting jump on a daily. Going to school was like a prison court yard. Glad i made it out alive. 😂
Fresno CA still not known for nothing who thinks Fresno for anyone. Fresno state only come up if you trying to make it to college football other than that Fresno ain't know for any of that Rah Rah.

pretty much any area near the 99 sucks. you have to go pretty far out of the way in general to find a "bad" area. lots of poverty in fresno but ppl are mostly pretty cool, lots of nice areas. blackstone is ugly, but go west a couple blocks and palm is gorgeous street from end to end. ppl give fresno a bad rap but its alright if you stay out of trouble.
I remember stopping at McDonald’s get get a burger 🍔 most horrible experience anyone could have, I suggest you guys keep heading in highway 🛣 until next better city 🏙 comes up
Pretty much everything below Shaw is ghetto, theirs Pinedale area but that's in the suburbs and you can drive through there nothing will happen at all nor will u see anything. But it's small ghetto surrounded by suburbs. Gangs pretty much live everywhere, so that's the only time tour gonna see them during family events or someone's family member comes over even if your in a nice area. You may get weird gang bang neighbors who are just plain weird and wanna start drama cause their bored with their own lives. The healthcare is horrible in Fresno. It's very dirty and you can get sick easy there fast food wise and eating out. Alot of roaches no matter where you move and bed bugs and the culture is weird. Alot of addicts, the only upside of Fresno is cheap living & some jobs but you can easily burn through all the jobs there and then you'll just end up moving that is if you don't end up sick first and don't get any help because all the Dr's are horrible.
Come on lets be fair, Fresno is not bad at all as this video makes it seem. I live here and i love it! Its just like any other city. This video does not show the true side of fresno. Also, the quality of the video does not help!! This video is very misleading.
Yknow you lived in fresno for too long when you get a memory from everyplace you see on here. From that old headstart next to the bridge in the beginning of the video, to where they used to have that Bingo asian store, the asian donut store at the corner of the school that had the cute girl that sold bomb asian food, to Romaine park where we played tag around the playground got our ass burned from the metal slides and climb up the gates and bleachers on the baseball fields all while the old folks threw dice on the shaded side where I heard they made a Skate park now. To the tallest highway downtown overlooking romaine where my cousins Toyota T100 crapped out, to the roads downtown where we followed the ambulance at 50+ mph when our sistet was at deaths door, to the old empty van Ness fields under highway 99 where we would go to get bombass burritos from that one Mexican taco truck, to the old projects next to the haunted train tracks where Tons of immigrants was placed and where we grew up in with others put in low income housing. Stray dogs running around attacking people, homeless folks under the bridges, riding bike around from one side of town to the other to play yu gi oh or mess around. Living life without a care in the world. Miss the good old days.
