Oh! what a great looking black and white cat! Internet cat channels are cool, but I gotta say, add in a couple of chickens, a doggie, and fretless banjo and you just got voted coolest channel on the internet!
You just made my Friday thank you although I didn’t get to you until fairly late, but better late than never, maybe even on Saturday, I’d never wait that long. But the reason I am commenting is I think it’s awesome that you have a catieo Most people will let their cats run free, which is not good for the cat, nor for the wildlife surrounding. So thank you for being a responsible, pet owner!
I think this is one of the best videos on the channel. The animals were great actors today. And the helicopter (or whatever it was) pilot showed what the title of the song "I'll fly away" actually means.
Normally just a lurker but had to comment for one of my favorite songs! Love the cover, and so happy to see people our age enjoy bluegrass. Thank you for putting out this content, it's very uplifting amidst everything else!
I've been looking forward to your video! I'll Fly Away is a favorite, it's one of the first songs I learned to play! Happy Friday Phoebe, hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Wow I loved the song on fretless banjo practice your slides with a tuner on and you will find the sweet spot and then muscle memory will take over. lol I also loved the fancy foot work as you moved the dog out of his butt first pose, you hardly missed a beat while doing it. you are a treasure to me as I admire and learn by just watching you interact with the banjo. Made this old mans day. ❤❤❤❤❤.
Thank you Phoebe, that is one of my favorite old timey tracks. I appreciate you having all of the animals accompany you, miss Sweet Pea is beautiful. I think Schmudge just loves being around you so much, it takes his focus away from his manners a bit, he seems like a good boy.
😻🐔💕 This is one of my all time fave songs and I have never heard it any better! Rest well- Self care first and always- btw: I liked the stretch and pull of the fretless way that you played but i am goofy to so I might be biased lol.
Thanks for the fun dose, Doc! I still have to make time for your midweek banjo boost. It's been a busy week for me! Keep doing what you do, Doc! Much love and God's blessings to you and your animals! ❤❤❤❤❤
Such a great video in every way: wonderful tune, sweet rendition, "special guests"... What's not to love?! Thanks, Phoebe, and keep up the beautiful work!
I believe your teacher will lead you well. On Fretless Fridays you help us let go of our fretting by playing as your authentic self with all the whimsy in your spirit and in your menagerie. But greater precision will enhance your ability to lift our spirits, not diminish it. Please keep up the good work!
What a great time! I just recently found your channel, and boy am I glad I did- watching you play is so much fun, and your cohorts are awesome- thank you very much for sharing!
Another of my favorite tunes. It's early Saturday morning where I'm at, and after a long night with no sleep at the cabin I'm staying in I decided to go for a stroll and watch the sunrise. Sat down on a swing bench in front of a gator pond and listened to your playing along with the sounds of nature, and it was just so nice. Thank you for sharing your music and allowing me to hang out with you this morning!
Thank you for that happy tune. I kinda liked the way you slid right into it! I chuckled when the cat perked up when you mentioned that the chickens were eating her old food.😅
Oh my, your cat looks just like one we used to have. She was just as beautiful and gave us 18 years. Lovely video again, thank you. Keep 'em coming, I love them 🙂🪕
Love it! Feel better soon Phoebe! Even though you don't feel 100%, you're still giving 110% when you play. I don't think I've heard I'll Fly Away on a fretless banjo before, I think it fits quite well. ❤
Hiya Phoebe. Glad you chilled a bit, don't wear yourself out. Looking forward to the ensemble concert. Is it a music school you attend ? Do you study general subjects too ? Thanx, all the best Martin London UK
Yeah, I come from the opposite direction, playing violin since I was little. When I started playing in a band I could not figure out how the guitar player stayed in tune when his fingers seemed to always be in a different place. Took me YEARS to understand what frets do! Keep at it. The fretless has such a sweet tone, and you're already pretty accurate. Don't fret, and I hope you feel better soon!
Your intonation keeps improving. Good work! A little constructive criticism: Your volume levels are all over the place. Find out how to normalize levels with the software you’re using.
Sounded great. Don’t forget to give yourself some “Me Time” Feeling well and rested is #1. Everything else falls in place. I think those two are an item. She snuck him a peck on the cheek.
You really inspire me to practice everyday! I know you mentioned before that you learn your tunes by ear, but is there anywhere I can find a tab of these tunes? I find tabs help in addition to recordings!
Nice to see and hear you in a relaxing natural setting, to my mind where you are at your very best. I'm not sure that the use of headphones and fancy mics fits in with your natural style and in fact both distracts and destroys that natural ambience. Thanks for all you do
Love that song, very soothing for my soul. But I have a question, was it just me or is there a cross near your right elbow and the bag on the door or wall?
