Nice. Cool technique tapping over the pickups like that. You remind me of that funky bass player that loves fretless on RU-vid. I wish I could remember his name. He has dreads. That's a compliment because he's great.
These "indicators" are put in just like normal frets on a fretted neck would be so you can better see where to put your fingers but then the part that sticks out is sanded off so the fingerboard is perfectly smooth, making it easier to play the right notes for the kinds of players that like to look at the neck while playing.
