You talked clearly but I couldn't help think Freud's theory about stages was a loud of rubbish and he seems fixated with sex. I agree chiĺdhood experiences effect people in later life. There is no way he could back his stages up. All conjecture and guessing!!!
You're right to be critical and the ideas presented here don't really have any empirical support. Nevertheless, I think that learning about them can still provide a useful framework for thinking about different challenges that are faced throughout early development. Thanks for commenting!
doesn't he(or someone I'm not sure tbh) say like fetishes and sexuality can't be changed after they are developed? so would it still change if you resolve the conflict in the phallic stage?
