After all of these years, I finally understand the significance of Deebo saying "what chain". It was a reference to the flashback scene when he refused to give Red back hia bike. Deebo asked him "what bike".... RIGHT BEFORE HE UPPERCUTTED RED STRAGHT INTO THE STRATOSPHERE!!!!!!!!! Deebo was lowkey warning Smokey he would suffer the same fate if he didn't shut up.
This movie is incredible because so many of us in the hood would be like “man, I would strap up if Deebo kept trying to rob me.” But the. The whole point of the movie is to handle yourself like a man, because everybody is in the same hood and predicament.

I think this is the difference between this film and the last two. This has so much relative SUBSTANCE to it. We all can relate to the neighborhood bully rollin' up, not even puttin' the kickstand but lettin' the bike fall. Homie roll up and the whole crew looking elsewhere but at dude. The point and flinch from Red, Stanley watering his lawn and keepin' folks off his grass. Them badass kids knocking over trash cans. Going over the homies house and she smoking squares talking ridicuously loud on the phone. Mobbin' to the store for soda. A Crackhead in a full sprint holding a TV. Even Red's dad sayin', "I don't know why you come down here messin' with these people". LMAO
