I absolutely never understand y Lorelei put on the ring at 2:56 right when the grandparents were complimenting Rory. It almost felt likeshe wanted to have something important going on in her life too. who agrees?
I love this dinner episode because it made me realize that in reality Emily really does love and want their company every Friday and shows how much she looks forward to it and seeing them, which is why it makes me feel bad for her when Lorelai, Rory, or both of them desperately try to get out of a Friday night dinner for no good reason and how much it hurts Emily and they don't even realize it.
Daisy. I disagree with the 😮comment that Rory and Lorelei try hard to sometimes get out of Friday night dinner. Can you blame Lorelei?! Emily constantly criticizes her daughter, and tries to interfere in her life. Richard and Emily clearly adore their granddaughter - but soon their controlling nature spills over onto Rory as well. Under Emily’s facade lies a more loving mother. Anyone can have controlling parents who ❤️ love them very much. But with control; there can be the side effect of being too strict. The combination of the two can sometimes equal emotional illness - especially if the child involved is sensitive!!
1:47 Emily Gilmore knows your high school secrets, I guess that means she heard the gossip when Rory started making out with Dean in front of t Chilton while Tristan was holding her books
I know Rory meant well but i don't think laurali told her to back of enough i felt like she had free rain over her mother but when it came to her life it was always back of mom.
