Really shows how psychotic Monster is. He starts this corruption, then heads straight for the main character, who would otherwise be the hero. He’s having fun taunting and scaring BF, almost torture, he’s also corrupting him. BF could best him the rest of the time, but this time, it was too much.

This actually gives an accurate reason for why Pico is half corrupted, the corruption spreads via sound waves and he was there, so I assume he and everyone else there got at least kind of corrupted, he was closest to Monster (in sight at least) which could mean he corrupted faster than the others in the crowd, but since he is not visible after everything goes black, he panicked and ran. Soon BF fell and we all know what follows

Mostly because he's concerned for Girlfriend, Lemon Monster even comments on it in the Song. "You can't save her" "You are weak" Boyfriend gets more and more upset throughout the Song that He can't do anything to save her. Definitely a mixture of concern/frustration and despair.

I've always wanted a prologue to see how and why this went down. This is everything I've wanted. Seeing the BG characters getting corrupted too was a great touch showing how Pico starts the 1st song half corrupted. Fantastic work, eagerly awaiting the next part.

The fact that the HP bar of BF turns red as soon LD said "Rap whenever you feel like" shows that he already won the battle, mainly because BF can't undo the Corruption unlike other Characters That's awesome

1:24 "You can rap whenever you feel like." Could be interpreted as that since Boyfriend is already on the backfoot, at this point he's like the prey of a snake accepting their fate. Even if he tried harder, it wouldn't matter at this point. His body is too weak now. So, as a way to taunt BF even further in a situation he would've never expected, LD simply says: "You can rap whenever you feel like." He's lost, he won.

See, I saw it like an incredibly insulting taunt. Imagine someone, without any energy, swinging at you with no energy left and saying to them "You can fight back whenever you want." It's similar in that sense how you're telling boyfriend "You're free to rap whenever you want." When he's been rapping the whole time... it's just-y'know-shitty and ineffective.

I see it the same way as telling someone to get serious, BF's off his game so I saw it as something like "You can get serious any time now" Sort of like a warning "Hey dude, you're losing, you wanna step it up or you gonna sit there and take it?"

I like what this implies on the story, BF's voice is weaker than it is usually, which explains why he couldn't fight the Corruption back. Also, I love the animation, the gradual corruption, the constant change in character design, all the little things here and there. You did a great job.

If the reason why his voice sounds like that is because it's weaker, That's pretty cool. But then the question is, Why is it weaker? I think the only reasonable explanation for that is the fact that he's shaking, He's scared of what happened to Girlfriend. Normally he wouldn't care about this kind of stuff being an idiot and all, But the fact that something ACTUALLY happened to Girlfriend makes him care, It takes away some of the "False bravado" that he tends to have at all times, "If you want to call it that" His idiotic nature won't help him here.

i love how the Mall Santa, despite being literally right next to Lemon Demon and Corrupted Darnel and GF the whole time, barely gets affected by the Corruption. Seems like the power of Christmas protected him somehow. It's be hilarious if he came back as the secret final boss against BF, as ludicrous a concept as that is.

Theory: Gf is missing in the mall, he probably went to distract himself with some shops and spent time, Bf arriving at the giant Christmas tree he meets gf with that virus and that creepy lemon, he wants a rap battle now that he thinks he can get her out of that state .... He always fixes situations with good music, right? the music starts playing and people think it's a Christmas show ... the battle begins and bf feels something climbing up his back but decides to continue with the song taking it as a game, but does he feel tired? follow the song and notice something on his face and feet, he feels too tired ... and stealthily it is also taking control of those around the tree BF does not feel his right side of the face and wants to escape from there but ... he cannot The last thing he can look at when he looks up is Gf laughing at the situation and seeing how some people are already infected with that thing and a phrase in his head *GOOD NIGHT*

When BF so visibly strugles, it hits, at least to me, beacuse he's the type character that is always relaxed, he never shows any fear, any kind of doubt, nothing, so when he's confident smile vanishes and it's replaced with a nervous, scared face, it means that something Big is happening

The fact that you pulled off the feel of this song so well has me in awe. It has the perfect eerie tone that fits together with the art. I also love that boyfriend's ballad is constantly being attacked with lemon demons eerie and creepy leitmotif. As the song goes on, boyfriend's tone seems to shift toward the lemon demon, perfectly showing his slow turning point.

The attention to detail is amazing. From the characters on the upper floor being visibly frightened, to Pico leaving from the upper floor half way through the song, and the characters near the stereo and tree also get more corrupted as the song goes on. I think I can also see some characters on the second floor being corrupted too, but it's hard to tell for sure. My favorite detail is how Boyfriend gets more corrupted no matter what is done, he was unprepared for this encounter and his voice shows it

It's just a re-imagining of what Pie and his friends think the Corruption will be like when it's fully released. I personally think the way he did Deathmatch should be Canon though, Cause it definitely felt like it was. This feels Canon too, You can see one side of Lemon Monster having a Demon-Like essence to it, As well as Girlfriend being the very first Corrupted, It goes exactly with how I thought the Corruption started out, It's made using Girlfriend as it's Core/Source. And Lemon Monster looks the way he does because he absorbed some of Girlfriends Corruption for himself, Like some kind of Mad-Scientist, The question always remains with stuff like this though, Is if he'll eventually succumb to that which HE created? "You know the Corruption being to strong for even HIM to handle. The normal end for mad scientists and all that" I personally think because Lemon Monster made himself part of Girlfriend right from the get-go, He's at a state where no matter how strong the Corruption becomes, He'll still be it's master. That's my thoughts anyway. Edit: Thanks for the Heart Pie! I ended up editing some of my Grammar so it went away, My bad :P

@@bradk225 Well of course he did, But if the Corruption was truly his power before it infected Girlfriend then his ENTIRE body would be Corrupt-looking, But only 1 half of it is, This is a dead giveaway that the Corruption wasn't originally his too command, He just simply made it. To put it more simply, Girlfriend is fully Corrupted, While Lemon Monster is only HALF Corrupted, And it only takes a single Song's span of time too Corrupt Boyfriend as much as he was, So then Lemon Monster isn't getting any stronger with his Corruption, It's set in stone. You can even view his left Arm like a "Leash" to the Corruption, Like I said he's it's Master after-all.

I feel like Monster was actually being smart by corrupting boyfriend second, and doing girlfriend first to help bring him down. I think it was smart because a lot of people care about that duo, and that would bring them down too. And using Boyfriend as a tool to corrupt everyone was also really smart, because literally nobody can beat him. Monster really thought this through, huh? Also this is just a sick vid-

Imagine how this must feel, the person you loved, gone, covered in corruption, people around have to appreciate this monstrosity of an act, suffering from it too, and you're fighting for your life, what used to be your Girlfriend is mocking you, which, i assume it must hurt to hear those words from her with her voice, despite it not being her anymore, and the worst part? the causant of this isn't even taking it seriously, he's singing such a cheerful song, mocking you with the lyrics, knowing you're powerless to stop it, and then, it happens, it corrupts you, you feel a burning sensation, it hurts so much... you fall unconscious, you can't think anymore, yet, feel the pain, you're now stuck on your mind, awaiting for the time you wake up and eventually escape from the corruption, while knowing all the people you met on your life is now going to be doomed to this sufferment.

What saddens me the most is the Mall Santa's look on his face: He sees that Boyfriend cannot win anymore, and it would only be a matter of time before he gets corrupted as well. He knows his time will come too, and in the meantime, he tries to cling on his last glimmer of hope, while also being aware of how futile it would be...

Honestly? I like that it takes Lemon Demon catching BF off guard to take him down. It's been shown that Lemon Demon can't beat BF at his best (Spooky Week). He went for Girlfriend, attacked BF emotionally, weakening his overwhelming confidence that normally allows him to get out of situations like this, BF can barely rap, and the monster is throwing jabs that just make him weaker, until, the end.

A theory I thought of is that if or when you get infected with the corruption it changes your perspective and makes you think that if you touch your friends who in your perspective are corrupted already turn them back to normal but you are in fact infecting them instead That’s honestly pretty darn sad and scary

It also depends on the distance since the Background Characters closest to it are also corrupted but those far away are not (although they may also be corrupting but to a very low extent)

It's funny how Monster is the main antagonist and origin of the Corruption but we've barely seen him in any Corruption AU material. He fades in with the lightning and during the week with the Spooky Month kids and that's about it.

I like the detail where you can still see pico on the top left, but the moment that the corruption uncovers the screen, he's already gone, then the corruption just covers around the screen again.

This is an interesting take on the Corruption. At a certain point of faltering where the corruption keeps advancing on BF the red outline on his icon on the progress bar doesn't disappear even when he's fighting back is like hitting a point of critical mass, where it reaches the point where it can't be fought back against anymore and will continue to advance on him despite how much he sings, and for the fact that he's off-key because he's facing something horrific, an unforeseen threat, alongside the fact that GF, the one he's been fighting for, is corrupted. If one puts up a good defense, even if the Corruption travels by sound waves, it might not intensify on them.

The funny thing is, Monster isn’t corrupted, he basically IS the corruption in a way. The description of the mod from the original creator is that it adds a *”Lemon Demon version of BF and GF.”* So, to him, he’s actually perfectly fine.

to those saying "oooh deaf people would be immune to the corruption!!!" (exaggeration, dont hurt me) the corruption spreads through soundwaves, which reguardless if you are deaf or not, its still hitting your eardrums, thus you'd still be infected.

Absolutely perfect! Everything that I imagined the start of the Corruption being like, Put in to video format. You are legend sir! You are your team/friends! And the music was REALLY fitting, Loved the part where the screen went dark and Lemon Monster hovered over Boyfriend menacingly. Very eerie but also amazing! It's interesting how you left it on a cliffhanger though, Do you have any other plans after this? Or was that just a reference to Pico's Week? Where Boyfriend was only half Corrupted? Edit: Re-watched the ending my bad, You said you'll be doing Weeks sometime, Awesome too hear! ^_^
