Quick analysis of what happened around 11:44 . When GF goes limp, its presumed that she's dead. She doesn't move a muscle, the only movements being the stereo jostling her lifeless body. When that happens, BFs sprites change. He claws at his bloody chest, sobbing, broken. It looks almost like his heart has been ripped out, from the placement of the bloodstain on his chest. And the heart is associated with love. His beloved--his heart-- was just ripped away from him right in front of him, the ripped out heart signifying the loss of GF. TLDR: In Natsukis song, GF is dead and BF went insane because of it.
Considering his canon personality, I highly doubt that losing GF would drive him THAT insane. I mean, it would hurt, yes, but not to the pint to affect his mental health (he doesn't have that much of a brain anyways).
It also looks like that he's the only one who's alive after Natsuki's song. At 13:30 when that image shows up you can see him crying while he's holding GF.
@@jammington24 Even then considering the mental corruption DDLC has it would make sense the loss combined with the game amplifying and corrupting every emotion would drive him insane. At least, I'm pretty sure that's what happens in the original so it would make sense if that's what's happening here. I mean, Sayori's depression was enhanced, Yuri's love was enhanced to obsession and I'm not actually sure about Natsuki but clearly in the game something was happening to her too so it makes sense that Boyfriend's loss could have been amplified too. Besides, considering all the creepy things DDLC does, I think it would be doing more than just amplify emotions. So that's probably why he looks all dazed and depressed when in the song battles even before losing Girlfriend. Probably because the game was messing with his mental state and thoughts. (Like how people say the tone of lavender town made people suicidal... or so the saying goes.) Does that make sense, would you agree with what I'm trying to say?
I have a theory for the ending. Since Monika had no way of going back into the Doki Doki world, she had no choice but to terminate the whole program. But since she did, the result was kinda catastrophic. Since the rest were still in the program, It would kill Sayori, Natsuki, Yuri, Gf, and Bf. Or, Sayori, Natsuki, Yuri, Gf, and BF's sprites were corrupted. and since the game could not find any of their name sprites, it lead to the program leading to its final decision, AKA, terminating the program. Which lead to Sayori, Natsuki, Yuri, Gf, and Bf being killed and trapping them inside the program forever.
For a what if scenario, this is pretty dark. It depicts a timeline where Monika couldn’t reach her own reality, so she has to watch her own world tear itself apart. You can see the utter despair between the characters, especially Boyfriend. You can see how he truly gave up at the end, holding Girlfriend even though she’s broken beyond repair.
It’s honestly difficult to fully understand the fact that this mod, this game, is free to play. That you can grab a computer or a laptop, download it, and play it by yourself with no extra cost beyond internet and keeping the laptop working lol. Teams like the ones behind this mod deserve respect, admiration and, hopefully, recognition from Team Salvato themselves, for the unbelievable amounts of effort made into their craft and for taking these characters into a story that feels like a true continuation of the nightmare inducing literature club. Thank you for your efforts, and thank you for playing this since I’m so clumsy I would have never gotten to see this completed by my own hands
What I find sad is that people care about the final project of the production more than the people "behind the production" of something like this. At least be interested and amazed!
I love how the second best fnf mod I’ve ever seen is simply the result of a “what if” situation. As a huge fan of DDLC, this puts a massive smile on my face, but also makes me sad at the same time wtf. 10/10 mod.
Now this is a true DDLC mod. It really captures the horror of this supposed dating game, and the songs are really well done too. Pretty awesome and epic for an alternate ending to a already popular mod.
Markov is just so damn good. On the OST , 0:45 to 02:06 is so addicting with that vocal and sprite sheet. The close up is just pure eye candy, I love it!
I didn't think Home would have any creepy aspects, considering none of Natsuki's songs had any in the original DDTO. So as soon as I saw her eyes pop out, I was legitimately shook. They really nailed the horror aspect in this Bad Ending mod.
So it seems that in this ending, Monika exits Hating Simulator and is not able to transport herself to the DDLC game to restore the balance, thus allowing the "corruption," the unrescuable states of the girls, led by their mental conditions, to eventually consume BF as well.
@Caleb Vela I don't think BF lived. I looked through the files and the image of everyone at the speakers is titled 'everyoneisdead', plus it's also worth noting that BF appears to have blood on his fingers and chest; which can clearly be seen when you look at his 'HAPPYTHOUGHTS' and 'HAPPY' ('HAPPY' is part of the filename for BF's sprites during the second half of Home) sprites. Though I will admit that when zooming in on the 'everyoneisdead' image, it is hard to see whether or not BF is bleeding, although that is most likely due to the fact that his left arm (right arm in the image) is in front of his chest.
I feel as if the reason for this “corruption” is due to the complete insanity Sayori was left with as soon as Monika disappeared. She couldn’t comprehend her power scale or her inability to truly exist. With this in mind, I’m surprised that Monika held on that long canonically.
In 7:50 I love how they put the eye image over on yuri, it’s like she is looking around on the screen and that seems pretty terrifying, three songs are so nice and that alternate ending is surely creepy.
Now this ending portrays ddlc perfectly… I feel really bad for Monika… it was clear she cared deeply about the other girls and seeing her terminate the programme was definitely hard for her Excellent work to the TBE- it nearly lead me to tears- Edit 1: Tysm this is the most likes I've ever had :D
@@Starsuki7090 Is canon that even a little bit, she cared and care about her friends. She put them apart not because of hate, but because she knew they were fake, just numbers and letters on a script program. She didn't wanted them to take away the only real thing she had ever knewn, that's why she acted like the way she did, because she was desperate to be free from the fake cage she was put on.
This really captures the essence of DDLC while staying fairly true to each character’s decent into madness. I especially love how BF nearly succumbed to the same fate as well. Everything about this is amazing!
Technically he did Succumb to it bc he went insane after GF "went to sleep" and in the final image BF is crying over GF's body and Gets stuck in the Program along with Yuri,Natsuki,Sayori so he did succumb

The sadistic side of me is slightly disappointed of the lack of game over screens though like Trepidation has. Like maybe Sayori hangs BF, Yuri stabs him (she’d probably hump his corpse though. Ugh) and with Natsuki his neck breaks too but he loses his eyes like her
It’s incredible how good this is for just being a “what if situation” mod. The songs are really well put together and really unsettling. Just like it should be. I mean goddamn, they went all out with the scary stuff. I even tried to play this for myself but I didn’t get far at all to see what the mod had to offer. But it did not disappoint!
i don't think it's a what if. at the end of the og ddlc you replay the opening but then sayori becomes self aware and then monika redeems herself by deleting sayori
This mod shows that sometimes a bad ending has a way bigger impact and effect than a good ending. Sometimes, a bad ending is a better ending or experience for the player. I loved every second of this bad ending. I actually prefer it over the good ending in-fact. I usually hate bad endings, so I'm pleasantly surprised with this one.
Good Endings are always better, And DDTO's is no exception, It's way better seeing them all happy, It IS really well made though, Just as great as the main Mod itself.
@@Joshuamiller19570But like I said, sometime a bad ending has more of an impact. Sure a good ending might make you feel better but a great bad ending will stick with you for much longer. It'll constantly linger in the back of your mind, thinking of what-if's and maybes of how the situation could have been fixed, of what you could have done to make things better. Look up "Love Town is an Existential Nightmare" it'll tell you about one of the best bad endings ever created. Tell me if you think a good ending could have had a better impact then the bad ending we get there. Tell me if you think a good ending would have had nearly as much of an impact as the bad ending. I swear dude, a good bad ending is so much more impactful than a good ending. It'll haunt you and stick with you for a really long time. I mean I don't even like bad endings and even I can admit a good bad ending is memorable.

I love how the only slight problem I had with the original mod was the horror aspect of DDLC was not used enough in my opinion, I went into this mod blind and was happy lol
I love how in the ending before the last Monika cutscene we can see Sayori, Yuri, and Natsuki huddled against the speakers while BF comforts GF one last time as the world ends.
This mod is made so that the player himself chooses how to play, in a good ending or a bad one, so that he has the right to choose So that he could choose his path, go through everything nice and rosy, or go through a bad ending. That's why I like this mod, you can choose the good and bad path in it.

I don’t think so but yeah this is a really dark scenario. DDLC is probably more frightening and overall scary, especially all the Easter eggs and how it’s built. But even if this is literally just a FNF mod and they probably did it for free, this is so fucking amazing.
this is the first time ive gotten chills from an fnf mod woah this is also the first time im commenting on a showcase of a mod, in the entire year i’ve been in this fandom. i just had to get everything i want to say about this mod off my chest because it is absolute GOLD i am shocked by the progression from the first monika skin mod to this. ive been a huge fan of ddlc for years, and ive been hyped for the full monika week, for doki doki takeover, and now for this the ending honestly almost made me emotional, which an fnf mod has never done to me before,, the implication that bf is the only one who survived, and him holding gf while crying hit different. my heart literally sank when gf died in home (also, i can’t resist saying this because im a digital artist, the lighting on that final drawing in home made my jaw drop) i also love all the little details like stagnant starting out pretending to be happy, just like sayori did, and bf ripping his chest open immediately after gf’s death (implying that it quite literally ripped his heart out?) and that part at the end of the silhouettes of everyone popping up legitimately almost made me _cry,_ even though this is an fnf mod anyway, i don’t expect anyone to see this comment but i just wanted to get this all off my chest because this mod killed me edit: almost forgot to mention, in this scenario, would monika return to hating simulator or would she stay in that “void”-like place out of guilt? if she did return to hating simulator, senpai would most likely help her heal from the entire thing (it is implied at the end of the full monika week that they don’t have any ill intent towards each other anymore, senpai’s just naturally extremely rude and it leads to a lot of disagreements like the ones they had in doki doki takeover)
The sprites, the story, the music its amazing! I love the transitions in each song and how it always goes back to the main theme song. The sprites are so well done too and how its similar to fnf’s main art style. The story is so good too, how Monika can’t go back to her own game and the game is breaking because she’s not there. To me, this mod makes you sad and yet its so wholesome. The mod overall is well done and t team really did a good job!
this is an ENTIRE ROLLERCOASTER of emotions the unsettling vibes of all the characters yet the amazing animations and soundtracks make you feel really excited and the depressing output...

Everything in the DDTO mod is just incredible and popular. I also love the story opening, it's just amazing. It may have some a little jumpscares or some horrible stuffs, but I'm still enjoying it!
This is absolutely incredible. Its full of "What the fuck?!" and "Wait... No!" Moments, which happens in the og game too. Perfectly fits the name "Bad Ending"
Literally remembers the Act 2 and Act 3 of DDLC game. This mod really reminds me all of the horrible scenes of the original DDLC mod. But still, this mod is really well-made 💜 Edit: also I just realized that the director/creator of the DDTO is also the creator of this mod which I totally suprised.

It's almost things like this makes you wonder (if you knew the base material), this canonically would happen even if it is a "what if?" scenario. Meaning Monika is technically the first to kill Girlfriend, even though it was accidental (Deleting someone doesn't count as a death as they are still existing, alive, in a perpetuate state).

I kinda wish that bf was in a only survivor situation so that monika could bring him to her instead and then be able to save everyone that way, but as soon as she does, bf realizing hes away from gf, kills himself leaving monika in shambles
honestly man, the end of Markov just hits differently for me. it just reminded me of my first time playing the yuri route. (keep in mind i haven't seen anything on youtube before my playthrough) and just having to stare at yuri's lifeless body slowly losing life. felt like forever, man..
Gonna be honest, Doki Doki Takeover was cool, and I enjoyed all the songs, but was disappointed by how they only really teased the creepy bits, and how the horror didn't ever really get a chance to take hold. This _definitely_ satisfies that craving.

Bro the addition of the bad ending just adds to the incredible amount of work the developers put into the previous update, and really shows how sad and twisted the dokis dark sides are.

I love DDLC the story is interesting. I love how monika is trying to fix things and is no longer evil. More references 4:45 to original. This part 4:45 actually is Monika's song called reconciliation.
I like how boyfriend is like them too, depressed and insane, because he stay too much in the game that was corrupted without Monika and affected him and Girlfriend, its pretty sad and dark
