Honestly if this was week 8 I'd love it, the music is a vibe and fits that chill attitude that Cassette Girl has. And to me the music feels like something Kawai Sprite would pull off. No doubt one of my most favorite mods now.
Honestly, it’s nice to see mods that are actually chill and nice, none of that “9-Key impossible challenge” stuff. Sometimes a mod doesn’t have to be hell to be good, and this captures that perfectly.
@@Stillonyx It really depends if it's good or not, Garcello was an easy mode but the quality and music were great to support it. Then again I say this while my favorite mod is Hypno's Lullaby with a gimmick a lot of people struggle on.
This is a mod i’ve been looking forward to for a long time, and i’m really happy to see it released. The artstyle, music, cutscene’s, everything about it is so good, and it matches the charm of FNF perfectly, If a youtuber sent me footage from this mod, and said it was an official week 8 leak, theres a good chance i might’ve believed it. Props to the whole team who made this mod, i love it.
Not to mention she has two sets of animations. The same song she reminds the clock for has a bit at 4:44 where she has completely different up/down/left/right animations for one or two verses, and on the last bonus song she uses them for the whole song.
The feeling of this is so genuinely close to that of OG FnF, I straight teared up a little in my eyes, It's beautiful man, It's so rare to have a Mod move me like this, This stands above "Mods" and goes to a level that rivals the Original Game. You can have all your fancy shmancy mechanics in Mods all you want, But the OG Fnf never had any of those to begin with, And still stands as my all-time favorite, Even If I LOVE what Mods have done as a whole, And there are tons of really good Mods too. I just want more Mods that try and capture what the OG had too offer. This is an easy 10/10, Anything less would be criminal. The music is so good! And the fact Cassette Girl has an extra set of Animations when she's happy is SO AWESOME ^_^
@@candystars7428 Whitty and Carol were in the first set of Mods that existed, So it was totally understandable why they felt so close to the Original. But I agree that Accelerant really captured that as well! ^_^
@@handlename88 Well of course it will eventually, I don't really see how that changes what I said though xD My main point is that Mods "And the Community" focus too much on Mechanics, We don't get enough Mods that try and capture what made Fnf as good as it is, It started out as a charming little Game that had REALLY bad hit detection on the Arrows, And yet EVERYONE loved it. This Mod is one of just a small % of Mods out there that truly capture that "Essence" of what made it as good as it is. "Just you know... With better hit detection on Arrows and whatnot :P"
This is a super simple mod, no cutscenes or story really, just good tracks, and those are some of the best Ive heard in a while. Literally imagined boyfriend saying "sup!" in the beginning.
I think one problem with making this mod is that it’s setting expectations for the official release of Cassette Girl. This is a great mod with great music, but it might just make the official not as great as I could have been on its own.
I prefer to see each as their own thing, like different interpretations of the same character. I'm honestly happy with her here and I'm sure I'll be happy with her on the official game. But your feeling is very understandable so I hope you get to enjoy her in the official game even if she isn't like what this mod makes her to be.
That mentality isn't the most healthy you know... I understand it seems to be the "Norm" nowadays for 1 thing to HAVE too be better then another, But it really shouldn't have to be like that. Taking for example re-mixes, Would you hate the Original Song that came from a Re-Mix that you loved to death? No that's stupid. Fnf is a music-driven Game, And Music is VERY Free-spirited. The only music that's genuinely "Bad" is music that physically hurts you in some way. Otherwise all forms of Music, Even broken ones, Have people that like them. Just go look at all the stupid videos for Megalovania from Undertale, They broke that Song too PIECES and yet it still sounded good, Proving even "Broken" music can be good. So I have a firm belief that the Cassette Girl that Ninjamuffin and his friends make, Will be just as good in it's own special way, But it is true that I can't imagine this Week being any better then it already is. But then again we haven't seen enough of what they envision the Game to be like, We've only played the Tutorial after-all xD They did say EVERY Week would be Animated in a similar manner too Tankman's in the full game, So if anything, We'll at least get an awesome cut-scene by them when the time comes! ^_^
@@Joshuamiller19570 nothing is unhealthy about that mentality and the guys point makes perfect sense. There are people putting work in mods that are in some cases better than official work. It sucks because those people were not the ones working on all these actual games. You brought up remixes as an example but that doesn't apply here. Remixes don't come before the official song.
I remember ninjamuffin said once that if a mod does something they'll try to do it better, and erect mode is a good example of how they really built on the idea of the b side mod to make something awesome
I like stuff like this, where it actually looks/sounds like its apart of the actual game I also like how they added the timer on how long the song is cuz i also noticed how the gamers play fnf and they b like "HOW MUCH LONGER IS THIS SONG?!?!"

I love how you can tell both her and boyfriend are having a great time, in the third song there is a phase where her animations change and she is just grinning like a madwoman because she is having fun.
Love the alt animations in machina, they're just subtle enough to not stand out but stick out enough to be able to tell that they're there, and it's really great Edit: oooh, they're the main ones for city funk, great use of them. 10/10 mod
Okay this mod sound and looks really close to the base game imo. You can just convince me that this is an update to the original game and id be convinced lol. Music bangs too, epic.
You know they're vibing and having a good time when the sprites change and half of the UI is gone. And I love this mod because its so chill, so many FNF mods are horror or devilish mods, so having this makes me have a nice vibe.
The 5th song is so good wtff The 1st and 5th songs are the best (in my unprofessional opinion) also the charting is really fun in the mod, you should definitely try playing it Also amazing job like always flip ❤️

FINALLY! I WAS SO EXCITED FOR THIS MOD! I love the songs! The sprite of cassete is good, I really like it, and my favorite song of this mod is Machina, and the cutscenes are pretty good, the team who made this mod did a good job on it.
I love this mod so much man, during the last few months of 7th grade I had to go back to irl school and I listened to some kawai sprite all the time, music like this takes me back even though it hasn't been years. To whoever made this mod I know you probably won't see this but, thank you for giving me that feeling of nostalgia in the best way possible.
2:03 is actually "earworm" not earthworm, I don't know if there's anyone out there that doesn't know what an earworm is, but basically it's something that gets stuck in your head, so usually just music.
@@skugo9542 It's not how I use the word but I guess you technically could, most of the time I use it to describe a song when it's catchy but good. Usually when you have a song stuck in your head, you don't want it stuck in your head, that's how I differentiate the two, but technically I think it just means it's a catchy song.

I was there when Mong tweeted the first sprites on their twitter account! They're such a cool person, and I'm so glad I had the chance to see and follow their art. Such an amazing talent!!! I am pretty sure they're going to release a "V.S. Mae" mod at some point, which is a mod related to the indie game called Night In The Woods. I'm rooting for them right now, after this amazing mod I'm sure the next release will be a real bomb!!

Ukiyo sounds like the perfect music to play at the beginning of a awesome video game or movie where there’s cinematic shots left and right. Like at the start of GTA V.
Their outfits are really similiar, except CG wears her cap forwards as opposed to BF's being backwards. Plus, but have a hand in their pocket (althought, that might just be an mod only detail.)
Did you guys notice, in Machina and all throughout City Funk, that when both of them sing really well Cassette girl Changes her animations. Her idle has a smile instead of just holding the Cigaret, the Up, Down, and Left animations change as well with her eyes closed and having a more chill look. It isn't that noticeable but it is a really nice touch.
@@StarlieW seeing how that's a moment before the DD battle, I'd call that more Gf giving Bf a little pre battle pep talk thematically whereas mechanically it's teaching the player.
Who ever made the vocals did a billion-dollar job, man. It fits the part. I mean cassette girl smokes too, and her voice sound a bit raw like the vocal cords scrape along her throat. Also the songs are supreme bangers, lime you could vibe to them all night.
This mod was in (what I preferably called 2021 FNF) THE GOLDEN AGE of this game, More like community but I digress, this was the best of the best mods, since like ALL of the amazing mods are cancelled for their own reasons. (WHY DID ENTITY, HYPNO, SONIC.EXE, *AND* WHITTY GET CANCELLED?!)
I can see why people love this Mod so much- The songs are such bangers!! But, I love Machina and City Funk the most. The drop in Machina is so cool it caught my attention, and City Funk gave me nostalgia to an old game I played called P. Muse. Either way, it's all amazing 🤩
People rightfully praise this for being the most official-game-looking mod to date, but I’m just praising it for looking amazing and having a perfect chill vibe and amazing songs, especially City Funk

When she put the Cigarette in her mouth, it reminded me of Garcello. They’re pretty similar imo they Seem pretty chill, smokes and has a hat. Only difference is she’s alive
