thats because the song is a cover of saster's song (which is a cover of a song from an undertale mod with sonic.exe in it, to my knowledge)

Thats cuz this mod is a cover of a remix of megalovania called confronting yourself. The sprites are based off of that song too

That's because of this song's origins. It comes from DifferentTopic, which from *my* understanding(which could be wrong) is a category of Undertale AUs which have the theme of replacing the UT characters with characters from another franchise. This is basically its respective AU's Megalovania, though Sonic is the AU's Frisk and Sonic.exe is the AU's Chara so that doesn't make much sense but it slaps so I'll let it slide.

If you want an actual Sonic x Undertale AU, I'd definitely recommend Sonic Adventure: Grounded. It also has a comic, so do check it out

This is a fanmade Undertale song. Confronting Yourself is an AU Megalovania that's existed for over two years now.

It doesn't even loop, so that's pretty much why.
