Surprise! I bet nobody was expecting this insider preview from the Vs. Sonic.exe team, but here you go! I've really wanted to work on this mod ever since Sonic.exe's full week in the original mod! This is the Needlemouse song that will be featured in Vs. Sonic.exe Update 3! I had a blast making it, and I would really like to thank ShutUpJoseph for allowing me the amazing opportunity to work with them on this! I mean, despite her being pretty twisted from the 30 years being dead, Sarah definitely has more of a moral core than most of the EXEs, and since BF wasn’t in the 63 Fun Gang or is actively messing with her disc, she’d have no quarrel with him. This song feels like it represents what happened to Sarah and how it started with what was supposed to be a fun party and ended with her friends burying her where a Sega building ends up being built over top of her, allowing her to inhabit a cartridge and become needlmouse. Pretty cool

I feel like Needlemouse will be one of the more friendly opponents since I doubt Sarah has any real grudge against BF or GF. She seems to focus on the people who were involved in her original demise, so this may just be her vibing with a stranger. Course, I’m not too caught up on Needlemouse lore, so maybe she can be aggressive to people besides her canonical victims.

This song is a fucking banger!! I like how it mixes Needlemouses goofy, yet disturbing appearance and backstory into this. This song sounds happy and melancholy at the same time, while slowly but noticeably more intense as it goes on. While fully going into unsettling territory. It took the pacing of Needlemouse and described it in one 2 minute song and I love it!!

I don't know sound engineering but I really love the weird effect on Needlemouse's voice, you can hear it best around 1:47, the way that her voice sounds "limited" and sort of "chalky", and the way it kind of "clips" at the start and end of the note it's just neat, has a lot of personality

i keep forgetting sarah has a nose in the needlemouse form because she's just on a black background most of the time and looking from left to right so you can never distinguish it from everything else
