Seeing Red Mist Squidward is so nostalgic, I was genuinely scared of that stuff back when I was a kid It makes a lot of sense it is his 'third stage', considering the backstory of the creepypasta.
@Austin Rohrig The creepypasta is about a lost episode of Spongebob Squarepants called "Red Mist" it was about Squidward about to perform an audition but the audience didn't like his performance so he went home with the place turning black, his eyes pure red. He grabbed a gun and pointed it to his head and thus the creepypasta "Squidward's Suicide" was borned
This might not make it but I like to think its Squidward on a noose and The Flying Dutchman just swinging Squidward around a bit or The Flying Dutchman possessing Squidward on the rope
