It took me several years to finally sit down and start watching this show. But I can safely say that after binge watching this show in a couple of weeks, the show has made me laugh, it has made me cry, it has motivated me to be a better man in life. Eric Taylor's character is probably the kind of person I want to be when I grow up. Motivational, sensitive, empathetic, a great father, a great husband, and over everything else, a great human being.
I have been a stubborn purist about the movie. But this video, combined with your comment has definitely moved me a considerable step closer to watching this. I think I really may now. Thank you.
@@JeremiahDoctsonFitness Hopefully you watched the show. The book that the movie was based on is good too. But all things considered, I believe the tv show was the most resonant and impactful for me out of the three; granted they had several seasons to really flesh out the characters and create some great story arcs. Cherry on top is Explosions in the Sky created the soundtrack for both movie and tv series-- one of the most underappreciated bands of all time (my personal favorite band)... check out their 'The Earth is Not a Cold, Dead Place' album to begin with.
I'm not a big fan of football. I'm not usually a big fan of shows, that are as "american" as this. I'm not usually a fan of melodrama. This though, is my favourite TV show of all time. I don't know how to explain to people that haven't seen it, but I never thought i'd watch a TV show, that would make me want to be a better man. But that's what FNL has accomplished for me. It is through hard work, and staying true to yourself, and through your relationships to other people that we create ourselves. Clear eyes, full hearts...
One of the few shows ever made that really captures what the America between the coasts is like. Turns out, the people and the stories out in the heartland are as compelling and interesting as anything ever filmed in NY or LA. Hope, Dreams, Conflict, Friendship, Betrayal, Desperation, Heartbreak, Resiliency, Triumph, Defeat, Death, Toughness, Love, Family....all this portrayed in wonderful storytelling that felt emotionally true. Clear Eyes, Full Hearts..... Can't lose.
when i watched this show i was going through the most difficult part of my life, lost my job, my education and basically everything...if it wasn't for finding this show i dont think i would be here today! Represents everything that is good about life and how you can change it around and it reminds me of why i should be happy everyday, i love it...i love it
Cosmic Video no I’m sorry but this show was something different, you were attached the scenes and writing hit you so close to home and the acting was very well done, it was fascinating and wonderful and when it ended it was emotional because it was over. This was a TV show that and it affected my life just by watching.
Friday night lights is the best show ever. Living in Texas, and watching this show, just made me feel closer to my state. Best story line and actors to play these roles. Amazing. Flat out amazing. Clear eyes, full hearts.
If you think about Coach Taylor's speech in the pilot and then think of the decision he makes in the Series Finale, you can really see how this show comes full circle, with Tammy and Coach always at the center. They were the heart of this show. And their relationship is what elevates it above the standard tv drama.
This show was the best thing on television at the time it was on air. To be honest, it has been the best thing on television since the day I was born. Nothing has topped it--nothing ever will. Clear Eyes, Full Hearts!
CAN'T LOSE!!! I have to agree with you 100% on that statement. It's the only show I have watched every episode for and I am so glad my roommate showed me it in September. Watching it for my second time now on Netflix
Sal Hunter I know that feel brother. I still remember my last game. it was in the quarter finals of the playoffs. I've never cried that hard before and haven't since
I'm watching this now on Netflix while snowed in (Arkansas girl here) . I don't even like football (sports at that) but this show captures so many emotions and true life stuff, I love it. I'm on season 3 now I can't stop watching ❤️ can't believe I didn't watch this when it was out when I was little
It only cares for us who watched it! Ppl are missing stuff, and we do not care Im from Serbia, in Europe. And yes, i have heard about the show, and seen it two times. So, just enjoj life and all the best!!!
I kept seeing reviews of this show that said how amazing it was but i put if off and one day i finally caught it on Amazon Prime so i watched an episode, then i watched another, and another and before i knew it, i marathoned all 5 seasons in a week, i was blown away by how amazing this show turned out to be, its one of my all time favorite shows =D
This makes me cry everytime i hear this because im so proud of my self making the team at starting QB in my school and i know im a leader and i can make changes . Clear eyes , full hearts , cant loose
Awesome tribute. Thanks for sharing. I love FNL. It was the best show on tv ever! Matt Saracen one of the best character on a tv show ever. "The Son" one of the best episode of a series ever. It was just an amazing show! Clear eyes...full hearts...can't lose!
I watched this show so long ago and I saw this video randomly pop up, but I'm so glad it did. This show is one of my favourites. So many memories. Texas forever❤
The melody that kicks in at 2:30 of this song remains the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. And it fits this show and this retrospective like a glove.
hands down, this is the best show i’ve ever seen. i’m a 2004 baby and i watched this with my mom. Still my favorite show ever. so sad they took it off netflix
I come back and watch this video at least once every six months or so - or whenever I really start to miss this show and these characters but I don't have the time to rewatch the entire series in the way that I want to. This video is amazing - you can tell just how much you love this show and these characters, and it's exactly why I come back to this video over and over again. Thanks for making such an amazing tribute to such an amazing show!!!
Just finished watching this show for the first time. It was so good!! I’m bummed now cuz it’s over and now I have to find something else to watch. I’ll definitely rewatch this again someday.
I never thought I would fall for getting emotionally invested in a freaking tv show... until I watched 6 episodes of FNL in one night during the middle of finals week
All the reasons I love this show in one video. Truly superb editing. The audio work alone is something to be applauded but what you did with the visuals is just brilliant. Raw talent right there.
I'm really not a fan of football but this show just got me sucked in. Everything about it was amazing; the characters, the music, the story. I should re watch it. great clip!
This show will definitely impact your life. I know zilch about football or sports for that matter and i miss these guys as if i know them and i love this show. It brings so much to the table about everyday issues it is "all americanish" but you won't care it's an underrated show and it was so sad when it ended...lol soooo if your on the fence about watching this...the answer is YES. Clear eyes. Full hearts. Can't lose. Texas forever.
Who is here watching again in 2020 or watching 1st time? Greatest TV series of all time and it’s not even close. And, it’s not because of the football. This show goes deeper than football. Football aspect is just frosting on top of cake. The flour, sugar, and eggs are where the shows identity resides. Started watching this show during hardest point of my life. Need a reunion movie or reunion season. Come on Kyle Chandler, just agree to it, round everybody up and make it happen.
1a. Breaking bad 1b. Friday Night Lights. I'm a California kid through and through, but the show made me fall in love with Texas. This tribute is so inspiring and brings back all those great memories watching the show.
Just finished watching the series. Im depressed. It will take me a while until im ready to start watching another series. So many different feelings throughout the series and now this show and "The Wire" are my favourite tv shows. F@ck im unhappy that it ended
Only thing I wished would have happened in the final episode was to see all of the old faces. I wish we could have seen Smash, Street, and Lyla one last time.
Does anyone know why they didn't bring smash in for the finale, he was the focal point of the first three seasons and he should have been the one to finish it
Honestly best show ive ever seen and i dont even like american football that much im british it is the most underrated show on tv, also my favourite character is obviously that lance kid
Wow...getting ready for Texas High School football, small town girl here, but this show and especially this video, highlights the love for the game and the team. This is brilliant!
I’ve been watching and listening to this since my sophomore year I listen to it every game day and every time I put on my gear and stepped onto the field and even till this day I get those same feeling I did right before game time!
This truly brought tears to my eyes, its crazy how this show can have that kind of effect on a person and motivate them to make their dreams come true which is everything this show is about. thank you for making that feeling come back
This year is my freshman year of football, no video has even been so inspirational to me I'll be watching this video every night before I fall asleep.. 💪🏈
My senior year football season is over, and I feel so depressed. It's like I've lost what matters most to me. No more Friday Night Lights :( such a heartbreaking way to end too.
You're so lucky you got to experience it man. I've dreamt of walking out on to that field, cheering fans, heart pumping, sweat dripping. The lights and eyes beating down on you every play. I'm from London, UK, and sport feels so secondary to academics, and I hate it. I love football, and hope to play it for as long as possible, but I'm almost 16, and unless I can make it to a US college, I may well stop playing at 18. Oh well I suppose. Do you still play, at college or something?
I know how you feel man I'm from Ohio where it's like this we have been a powerhouse football team for almost 50 years we get treated like royalty everyone in town knows you, cheerleaders would make us all this food, booster would make dinner for us, we could get away with anything drinking, teachers would let us leave class anytime we wanted. I don't know what I'm saying is I feel you I'm a senior and it makes you feel like shit when your highschool career is over I'm sort of depressed but i know for the next four years I get to keep playing football
I play football, and I can relate this show so much. Honestly this is probably the best piece of TV you can watch. Best TV show ever. Clears eyes full hearts can't lose!
Really enjoyed this a lot. FNL is def one of my all time favorite shows and you did it justice. Especially by capturing the show as a whole. Have always liked the song too. But the best part of the song kicks in @ 5:30. ** My only complaint about this is that there were parts that felt a bit too fast and that could have used a bit slower cutting. But overall I loved it. Def the best FNL trib on YT IMO.
Wowzers! Excellent, Excellent video. Excellent editing.........you captured the heart of the series. You captures what made it all dear to our hearts. Well done.
I really want them to do a spin off of this show maybe of them in Philli like seriously this show is the best show on earth by far the most amazing thing I've ever watch I love it :(
AFernandez AfZc I love this show so much, the ending of season 5 was amazing and was so emotional. Too bad there not going to make a movie. A sequel would be great.
I've lived in Texas my entire life and I can confirm that high school football is a really big deal here. Allen High School spent over a million dollars on their high school stadium! The high school I went to always offered bus rides for away football games. Football is like a religion in Texas. I love it!
