They all look so happy! I wish Nickelodeon was still like this.

I remember watching this back in 2002 or so, and it's funny how this was basically Nick's answer to Cartoon Cartoon Fridays in the general format. The main difference between the two is that Friday Night Nicktoons didn't have segments with the animated characters hosting like CCF did. While this was pretty good in of itself, i always more often watched CCF.

This is Magical and can never be topped, The Nicktoons Cinematic Universe is one of a kind.

This was good, but this was NO WHERE close to the awesomeness of Cartoon Cartoon Fridays (CN)

This was definitely Nickelodeon's answer to the far superior Cartoon Cartoon Fridays. The intro and lineup are definitely awesome here.

This was the best...I cried when I saw this. Pathetic, maybe, but I just loved this all so much. Its my childhood and always will be ^-^

Original animated nick programming in that opening credits alone: Jimmy Neutron, Spongebob, ChalkZone, Angry Beavers, Fairly Odd Parents, Angry Beavers, Rocko's Modern Life, Rocket Power, Wild Thornberrys, Rugrats, As Told by Ginger, Invader Zim Nickelodeon animated shows in 2011 as a whole: Spongebob, Tuff Puppy....that's about it

I cannot believe in this throwback I'm having right now! I used to love watching Nicktoons on Fridays back then especially SpongeBob, Jimmy Neutron, Fairly Oddparents and My Life as a Teenage Robot.

Actually,I feel that Nickelodeon didn't really die in 2004, I feel that it died around 2007 or 2008. In 2004, Nick had Danny Phantom, SpongeBob was still decent, Fairly OddParents, Jimmy Neutron, Teenage Robot, ChalkZone, Drake & Josh, Ned's Declassified, they still had U-Pick Live, All That, Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, Wild Thornberrys, The Amanda Show, occasionally they would air Doug, Kenan & Kel and CatDog. Plus, shows that were no longer on Nickelodeon around the time would be either on Nicktoons Network, The N, Nick GAS or TurboNick. Plus, they still acknowledged those old shows. I remember when I had a MyNick account and they had a list Nick shows to like, alot of old shows such as Clarissa and Doug were listed, plus Nick Scene It! (released in 2005) did have Rocko, Ren & Stimpy, CatDog and others. They still had variety, too. SpongeBob only aired 3 times a day. They still had good short films and the feeling was still Nickelodeon. If the only reason why Nickelodeon sucked in 2004 is because they didn't air Rocko, Ren & Stimpy or Invader Zim, then that's not a very good reason (they still aired on Nicktoons/TurboNick and would actually come back in 2006 and 2007, BTW)

Man, those were the days! My brother and I would watch Nick's Friday nights mostly for Invader Zim and Fairly Odd Parents, then we'd switch off to Cartoon Cartoon Fridays. For a few years my parents allowed us to stay up late every Friday and watch our shows in the basement. Friday night cartoons had since replaced Saturday morning cartoons by then, seeing as how kids had so much access to (mostly) 24 hour cartoon channels.

I remember me being in the 4th grade in 2004 coming home from school, excited as hell just to watch Friday Night & Saturday Morning Nicktoons. It sucks that Nickelodeon is garbage now.

This or Cartoon Cartoon Fridays. That was my hard decision as a kid.

I've never heard of Friday Night Nicktoons... but it had Zim in it, so must've been good! What was it all about?

This MADE my elementary school years. I would sing this song in the hallways when I was in second grade because I was so excited to see this. Then that night I would stay the night at my Nana and Papaw's house where they'd order us pizza while my twin sister and I would either watch it in their guest room, their screened in back porch (if it was warm outside) or in the playroom. We'd get so excited for the newest episodes of Fairly Odd Parents, Spongebob, Jimmy Neutron, My life as a Teenage Robot, Chalkzone and Rugrats. Now 10 years later, Chalk Zone, Jimmy, My life and Rugrats are long gone while Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents are making more and more horrible episodes. It's so sad to see what has become of this amazing network. :(

Anyone remember that game on Nick website, around the same time as Friday Night Nicktoons, where you collected virtual cards of Nicktoon characters by playing games, and you could trade and sell them for points? I remember I spent 2 weeks earning points to get a card of Cindy from Jimmy Neutron.

Invader Zim is the most badass superior cartoon there!

What's that? Nickelodeon actually ACKNOWLEDGED CHALKZONE'S EXISTENCE? WITH THE TWO CUTEST CHARACTERS ON THAT SHOW? Watching this as a little kid made my heart beat so fast whenever I saw Snap in the beginning, since Nick never used it for anything else. I still feel some of that excitement now XD

One day I'm going to get a time machine, set it to when Nick was good, and watch these Fridays so that my childhood will be complete.

I remember this was one of the things i would look forward to every week as a kid. I remember it was friday, it was this or the stuff on cartoon network, but i was loyal to the nicktoons then. I remember watching this stuff in my bedroom, laughing at all the funny stuff, this stuff was the best. I love nicktoons and i always will. Ah memories. I miss those old days. I wish they still had cool stuff like this on Nickelodeon

All of these shows were amazing, it's a shame that they no longer exist. In the way we remember that is. Rest in Series Nicktoons

This and Saturday morning NickToons were fun times back in the early 2000s. If I was in charge of Nickelodeon I would bring this back.

Unpopular opinion: Modern Nickelodeon and its shows aren’t that bad.

Awww...I love this. Hey, is it just me, or is this the ONLY time Arnold actually saw Helga when she was stalking him? He caught her monologuing with the locket a few times, but this is the only time I've seen her staring at him and him actually getting to see her...although it did take her flying into the air screaming to get him to notice. Arnold, you are DENSE. But that's pretty much the only cartoon notable that I watched in here. Well, there's Donnie there, I guess, and I saw a bunch of the Rugrats gang, but that's all.

If they do this again, I bet the characters featured in the opening would be characters from SpongeBob, The Loud House, Los Casegrandes, Rise of the TMNT, Welcome to the Wayne, the upcoming Rugrats reboot, and maybe Invader Zim in honor of Enter the Florpus.

Oh God this was my life. When this came out, the area I lived in didn't have Cartoon Network as a cable channel. In order to get it you had to have digital cable, so I only got to see CN when I went to people's houses who owned digital cable, so this was the best I had most Friday nights until I moved when I was 8 years old, lol, and even then I still picked this over CN.

Man, so many memories, when most of our Nicktoons characters were all together. Now were far from that, and in the future. I totally remember Friday Night Nicktoons, I'd be so excited to watch it.

Dang, I wish I was alive for this XD. I mean, 2010s nickelodeon had spongebob and henry danger, which were childhood for me, and they are amazing. 2000s-2010s spongebob was top tier. But now, it's just...sad. I recently have become OBSESSED with Invader Zim too. It reigns superior. I wish nickelodeon hadn't gone from amazing to terrible, i wish it had stayed amazing!!

Wrong. Catdog aired it's last weekly scheduled episode in September 2002 and then aired one new episode a year for the next 3 years. Furthermore, even if it did end in 2001, how come Rocko's Modern Life (ended 1996) and Angry Beavers (which actually DID end in 2001) get to be in this intro but not CatDog?

For some reason, I remember watching Saturday Morning Nicktoons more than this. I dunno why.

I remember being at my Grandparents in the 90s and there was a Nicktoon marathon...I think I stayed in their room all evening 😂.

That was the best intro they've ever done.

Sadly FNN was only SpongeBob at 8:00, Jimmy Neutron at 8:30, Fairly Odd Parents at 9:00 and Chalk Zone at 9:30. Hey Arnold!, Rocket Power, Rugrats, Invader Zim, Wild Thornberrys and As Told By Ginger were never played.

I remember watching all these shows as a kid. I never thought Cartoon network and Nick would change the way they have. Bless those days.

This was a really cool intro for nickelodeon. The Friday Fun Fantastic Flavor.

This was so unique in the way they combined all the Nickelodeon characters together, both past and present. How each of them linked together (ex: Jimmy's rocket caused Squidward to surf with Otto). Then when they cut to the stands they have some of the characters of the same show sitting together, and at the same time characters of different shows would be with characters of a different show (ex: Darwin is between Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy).

Am I the youngest person to appreciate this? I was born in 1999.
