Micro needing is really fantastic. Really works. Looks 5 years younger after your recommendation and your tips for about 1 to 2 months. The result is unbelievable. You are so amazing helper. You look so amazing in your age. Only one I try to point it out is maybe should try more some of K-beauty skin care and Japanese products. Show more long term benefits, my skin is beautiful because of them. Sometimes less is more. That’s my opinion.
Thank you for such a nice comment! You can store GF in the fridge, yes! I’m not a huge fridge pusher (lol) but if there was something that might benefit from a cold environment it would be GF. The darkness inside a fridge would be good for many skincare products and I do love a fridge for keeping de-puffing tools cold 🧊 ❤️❤️
Hi, love your videos and have a couple questions about LED masks. I did watch your video on LED masks but still have a question and was really hoping you could answer them. I’m using my LED mask for 15 minutes daily. I have a bit of old acne scars on my chin so was told to use the purple light. I’m 65 so anti aging is also a concern for me. I use the red light for my hands. Questions: 1. Do you think I should continue to use the purple for the scarring on my chin or just use the red light. And, 2. Could you answer what types of serums you would use prior to using the mask. Thank you so much! 😘
Hi Penny, This is Lindsey M on my boyfriends computer. Purchased the Aqua and thanks for answering my Q. I love love love your channel. I am addicted. I am doing my first micro-needling treatment tomorrow! Super excited and a little scared. I absolutely would be so interested in more information or a series about stem cells and growth factors!! Thanks so much!
You are great Penny!! Thx for all of your expertise!! Any advice on organic aloe Vera gel? I use it when my face is red or inflamed after my at home microdermabrasion scrub. I apply it on first, and then follow up with a hydro gel(hyaluronic acid)
Hi Penny, can you please educate more on .5mm home rolling? Can I use vitamin C next day or NuFace next day? Should I treat it as if it were an office grade treatment with respect to the “don’t” list. Thanks so much. Love love your Chanel and your eyeshadow!
What is a good reasonable priced growth factor to use post nano/micro needling where do they fall in the post treatment product list ? Thanks so much your videos are great for everyone that wants to do in home skin care treatments
You explained so well, why we should only microneedle with HMW HA 😘 But did you also mean, that we should not use anything else right after microneedling? Or can we use what irritant free serum we want immediately after microneedling (with 0.25 or 0.5), before channels are closed in few hours?
Hey 👋 I’m a new subby and have just watched a video from 10 months ago the difference in your eyes is amazing!? Less hooded/puffy? Have you been doing anything specific to treat the eye area? Stunning! 😁
Penny, I haven't commented in a while but still love and appreciate your content. You mentioned AnteAge here and I was on there website and they now sell an at-home product with a roller (though I would use my pen) and 5 vials of AnteAge. :) Also, I get asked questions about microneedling constantly about if a person should use a certain product. I am not an expert but only recommend high molecular weight hyaluronic acid. But, I have realized that some people are impatient and excited and I was thinking using filtered water in a spray bottle would be better than a foreign substance. Would that work ok?
Hi penny! Thank you for addressing about the difference between stem cell and EGF. I have a question, how can I know if a product has high molecular weight HA or not? Thank you!
Another brilliant video Penn!! I dermaplaned last week using your protocol and feel it has added another bit of 'glow' to my face. I live in the UK but en route next week to visit my mum in Boston so just now filling up my amazon.com trolly with lots of your favourites - esp the SUKOYAKA SUHADA Urea Moisturizing lotion which I adore! Thank you for your generosity. Honestly your microneedling advise has changed my skin!! I'm looking more into microcurrent now and may buy the Myolift mini when I'm in Boston. One question for you - is there anything I can buy for you in the UK and pop in the post to you when I get to Boston? You're so generous I'd love to be able to offer you something from the 🇬🇧 you can't easily get in 🇺🇸
You look so pretty with your hair tied back. I envy you. I love watching your RU-vid video. I learn so much from you. Im now just getting started on my appearance now that I'm 41yrs
Hi... You girls always talk about Cerave. I can’t get it here in Australia, can you please tell us what might be the same here ? Thanks.love your Chanel x
Hi Penny, wanna know more about stem cell and growth factor. I currently use Skinmedica TNS Essential Serum. Can it use with product that claim working in stem cell level like Augustinus Bader or Dr.Levy stem cell booster and cream? Thanks
Loves your do, as in your hairstyle, sister, very flattering. Definitely do something on growth factors and products specifically growth factors and or stem cells that look good a promising to use. I was checking out one made by Dr. Obagi. His new line, ZO, he has a growth factor serum but I think the EGF in it is made from stem cells from barley.???? I would think that his products have been thoroughly researched, however he is just a man trying to make a buck/living like anybody else. My point being you said something in your video about apple stem cells... not working on humans, which sounds logical, If he uses one made out of barley (please correct me if I'm wrong) I would think and or hope it would work. Love to know your thoughts.
I just purchased a microcurrent device and I'd like to know if it should be painful (stinging, "phantom current" sensation after treatment) and is it safe for the thyroid?
You're supposed to use a lubricant on your skin, like aloe vera (spritz with mineral water on top for more conductivity) or ultrasound gel, that gives conductivity and doesn't cause the stinging which shouldn't happen :) and Penny has said in a different to avoid the thyroid area
@@iwillstom It's said that some people who are sensitive or are inclined towards things like regular migraines etc. this treatment is not suitable for.. It could be the device you're using but you'll have do a Google search and also see what other reviewers are saying :) good luck!
Penny has an entire video dedicated to nano needling. I think she addresses that question there :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nHg2FyWnOMA.html
Hi Penny, quick question about the nano cartridge, I just purchased dr pen and first time using it but nano head doesn't come out of plastic can it be set at 2.5 for the tip to come out of edge of plastic? At .25 stays inside plastic, it doesn't come above the plastic edge. I was told by dr pen to set it at 2.5 for it to go above. Is that correct or is my pen defective? Wasn't sure since your video says to set it at .25 or less for nano. What do u think? Thanks in advance for your answer. Btw love your videos.
Yes! You are right!! 2.5 is right for the DrPen. I need to make a correction bc all my other pens stay at .25 and the tip extends beyond the case, but dr pen has to be moved to the edge. I am sorry for the confusion! I’m going to do an updated nano video to address this too! 💜
@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE Thank you so much for answering back Penny. Ok now I feel better using it. Thank you also for all the great videos on skin care on RU-vid, that has been a great help for me. Thanks again 😊
Can you do a video on your favorite / great serums to use when NanoNeedling? I know you talk a lot about hyaluronic acid & vitamin C but can you talk about some other great options?
I am an esthetician with 20 years experience and I absolutely love your videos! The information you give is incredibly useful and very interesting. You do an amazing job Penny!
Please do a separate video on growth factors and stem cells. Also, a few months you did a video where you stated you would incorporate Osmosis Stemfactor into your hyperpigmentation routine. How is that going? Also, why did you select that product over SkinMedica’s TNS Essential Serum? Maybe you can answer these questions in a dedicated video.
Adenosine triphosphate! Is it also produced under red infrared led or is it just something that only the low power laser red therapy 660 nm? Thank you one trillion folds. Sorry sometimes I forget to say thank you but in my heart I m always very thankfully to you darling. Yesterday I microneedled myself following your videos and I m very red but so happy and I m over the moon thank u lots and lots.😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘😘! I m 50 and my boyfriend is 74. I promised him I ll stop when I ll get to look as young as at 16. He said worried people start murmuring that he is a "dirty old man" 😅😅😅
Folks should smash the Like Button on Penny's videos. This makes her videos come up in more searches. There is a wealth of information in these videos. Action is Eloquence.
... hi Penny ... I really appreciate your opinions... ! Several years ago I had a plastic surgeon do the Sculptra procedure and I loved it ... I see that Sculptra is now being used as a topical with microneedling ... the claim is that it addresses lines and wrinkles at the skin level, whereas the injections create general volume ... do you have any experience or knowledge with the topical procedure... ?
Love, love, love your explanations!!! So thorough and concise! Thank you for all the information! I'm new to your channel and will be sticking around. So interested in skin care!😍💞👏👏👏 Side note - you are exceptionally beautiful in this video - such a natural glow and I really like your hair this way. Very flattering! 😊
good 411 again...i remember when i use to work with students in xray...i always said, keep the questions coming...questions keep you sharp because you have to think about the answer that makes the most sense and sometimes that helps you as well. best way to learn something...teach it! love you penny
Great video, Penny. I love hearing anything about microneedling. Even though I do it regularly, I always benefit from your knowledge. Thanks and have a great weekend 💕
Should we use a serum before using the led lights? Can we do a cosmetic needling at 0.3, put serum and then use led? My I ask about a doctor perricone cream? It is the OVM with eggs stuff. I tried it and it gave a slight but visible instant lift as the skin going deep in and plumping up the skin. However I am afraid that the effect may be solely caused by an excessive concentration of Dymethyl MEA. Some studies proved that a concentration of 6% of above mentioned Dymethyl MEA can penetrate to the dermis and cause a sudden swelling of the cells which then results in apoptosi (cell death 😨😨😨😨!!) I doubt that dot. Perricone would use a dangerous concentration of any product. But the fact is that this particular cream leaves the skin looking a bit "deflated" as if it had lost some of its content the following day. Therefore, I only used it one day and I never used it again! If you are aware of any issue would you be able to tell us? If there is no risk on you of being sued as if there is such a risk don t but I won't be using that cream any way.
@@skinsciencebymira thank you indeed! May be this particular pot of Dr Perricone OVM is too old or has been tampered with. When I put it on it really made my face look better deeply hydrated plump etc but the following day it just did not look normal. Now I am just too scared to use it. And thank you also for the led tip. God bless you☺☺!
Hi Penny, thank you for all the great skin videos you do for us...they are very informative! My question is relates to something you said in one of your previous video back in May, 2019 (I think). You mentioned that if you have had skin cancer you would not recommend a person using Growth Factors when micro needling or nano needling. Can you please explain a little more details around this? I had skin cancer on my forehead 3 years ago and it was removed. I just received my Dr. Pen A6 but have not purchased any serums as of yet. Thank you in advance.
There are two things I've heard about this week that intrigues me that I would love your opinion on. PICO Genesis treatment for hyperpigmentation and melasma and The Ordinary skin care line. Have you tried either? Love you videos! ❤️
So glad I came across your channel! I have bought Cos de Baha serums and I love their serums! Love this brand and I love your channel! I hope your info will help me tighten under eye area and get rid of the dark circles! Thanks for being on YT!
I'm one that gets soooo dried out after any type of needling with HA & I appreciate hearing that I can apply more HA & then an occlusive after those channels have closed (15 min to 3 hrs depending on which type of needling) to keep the moisture in my skin. Thank you for the relief!
Great explanation of stem cells and growth factors. Really cleared it up. More details would be appreciated. How an EGF like Bioeffect or Skinmedica TNS works specifically and if they're worth the big bucks.
I am trying to find a skincare expert who can answer ONE QUESTION about Dr. Pen Hydra H3 and Pens like them. I have asked so many people, including Penny, here...how you all can move these SHARP NEEDLES in CIRCULAR MOTIONS in contact with your face...without tearing your skin? I would dearly like to know the answer...so I can do a second .25 needling...and NOT MISS SO MANY AREAS. I was stamping it my first time...not rubbing it in circles all over my face...to avoid Ripping. Call me Crazy...whatever...but in my dermarolling days it was ingrained into me not to drag these needles over my face. I am new to PENS. I watch everyone on these videos...MERRILY moving it in CIRCLES, AGAINST their SKIN. How come the pen is not ripping your skin? Is it because the pens are designed with a plastic cover that protects our skin from tearing? I would be extremely grateful if someone who knows the answer can EDUCATE ME? Thanks to whomever.
If the pen has the appropriate motor (rpm and torque etc) then the needles move in and out of the skin FAST. Much faster than we move the pen. I was taught (by an actual master who was taught by Lance Setterfield, the *micro needling master* ) that working in small grids is best so that coverage is even. Since then I’ve also done circles. Stamping is *great* If you are concerned about drag, keep stamping. Stamp in a small grid (square) and move on next door to that square and do another square. This was you get good coverage.
@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE Thank you for clarifying that. So...Hydra Pen H3 is by Dr. Pen...right? You have experience with both Hydra H2 and Dr. Pen, I think? I will presume that your answer is that it is okay to touch the face with the pen because it moves fast...and does not TEAR OR RIP. That is what I prefer to do. I don't want to stamp. It is uneven and useless. I just wanted to not worry about ripping my face with this Hydra Pen. If I got your answer wrong...please correct me? thanks Penny. Speed would be middle, right?
I break out all over my face when I use niacinamide. Why would someone use nano when .3 is deeper for more product penetration, yet not deep enough for collagen generation?
Thanks for your time. I realize this, though. I was asking her why she recommends nano, when .3 seems like it would be more effective for allowing penetrating of product a little deeper into the skin. I use 1.0 or 1.25 once a month for collagen stimulation, and .5 a few times a month for the same, at a more shallow level.
Hey Penny, could you help me to understand this: the inflammation in the body is WANTED as an effect of microneedling, thus it is advised not to take any Ibuprofen after or before to not interfere with that infmamation, so how come anti-infmammatory ingredients in serums that are advised to use after microneedling such as Reviv or other growth factor serums are good then? Arent's they interfering with the inflamatory process that is wanted in the first place? please clarify , I am sooo confused :> greetings! :)
I understand this confusion! I asked a very similar question when first learning micro needling. Essentially we kick off the inflammatory process and that induces collagen. That cascade is going…it’s happening. What we don’t want is TOO much inflammation because that’s the opposite. So we kick it off then we try to manage the inflammation (anti inflammatory ingredients/products and modalities like LED). It’s kind of a dance 😊 The anti inflammatory stuff we do after isn’t going to completely counteract the inflammation…..just keep it from running wild 😊😊💙 That’s always been my take (and what I learned) I hope it helps!
@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE okeeyy, it kind of makes sense ! :) :) Thanks so much for explaining:) I am waiting for your new content on microneedling too!:)) I watched some of your old videos on microneedling - very informative and you advised using vitamin C quite fast after the procedure, if I use C with resveratrol , would that be fine? ( i always combine those for making the C even more effective!):) Like 4 days after microneedling? ;)
Hi Penny just to say thank you for another fantastic and super informative video. I don’t understand why you don’t have 10 million subscribers ! Every single person on this planet would benefit from your videos 👍😘👋 I love the clarity in which you answer our questions and how the most complex concepts are so clearly put that is so easy to understand. Btw your are so eloquent even when you are putting things in the most simple way. Thank you for all the research you do for us. Love you so much 😘❤️💖
Dang, You are good! Very few people understand about differentiated and undifferentiated cells. Please, please do a video or series about not using EGF if the person has raised areas, moles, or CA lesions. ❤️❤️
Loved the 911 example, it explained things perfectly 💕 Love your Friday Q&A’s!!! And you look gorgeous 😍 #askpenny: is the Osmosis stemfactor a good one to medical needle with?
Penny I was at my dermatologists telling the medical assistant about you and your microneedling information and showed her your channel and was telling her you are as smart as you are pretty, this talk demonstrates that perfectly. Thank you for all your information. Could you talk about anteage and biopelle products, safety and like should i be using these daily or just with procedure care etc. Is snail mucin something good to apply to the skin, what are your thoughts, currently on emepelle and adding in photozyme MD, both have significantly improved my skin over the last 3-4 months, literally better and better skin happening here, thank you so much!!!!!!
Giiiirl! You look so dang Beautiful!✨ Always do but really shine in this video. Just noticed this is the most recently made video I’ve seen of yours🤔 I’m thinking you’re definitely on top of it with what you’re putting out...because you’re pulling off a lil’ “Benjamin button~ism” here on us!💎I’m super excited about all Im learning from you~• SO Thankful...and ready to become the best damn version of me💕💫💋
What do you think is the best microcurrent machine available for at home use? I have what they call the EGG from serious skincare. What do you think is the best because now I hear a lot about Nuface? Thanks Penny...I just ordered a few things from your Amazon site.
O wow Penn what a glow ... and this hairstyle makes you looks so so glamouros 😍😍😍😍😍 Had my once a month microneedeling session yd night and did follow exactly your new protocols of face and neck .... just without numbing cream... was ok 1.5 at necklines was on the limit..but all calmed down soon..usually I had that dryness issue..yd I used first time cerave over the HA befor sleeping and this morning everything looks pretty good girl 😊 thank you dear💖💖💖💖💖
I am interested in purchasing the copper peptide that you recommend but wonder how I can incorporate it into my skin care regime. I use Osmosis stem factor, then Lemieux Vitamin C followed by Osmosis catalyst (both am and pm) and then in the evening the Correct. Love your Friday Q and A-or really. all of your videos!
So love your channel. I am a serious follower. please answer this for me. I have been micro needling religiously for about 3 months now. i have pretty tough skin so I've been going up to 5 - 7.5 depth. It seems like my face stays really red for 5-7 days. is that ok?
Hi Penny, you haven't mentioned/discussed anteage's home microneedling solution. Can you give your opinion on it. Looks like it can be purchased for $100
