The Word of God Is Solid Ground
Verse 1:
The word of God is solid ground,
our constant firm confession,
no source of freedom more profound,
no purer a profession.
All steadfast strength,
all breadth and length of truth,
from God’s word springing
shall we employ to speak our joy,
this world our witness bringing.
Verse 2:
What powers can our faith constrain?
What ironclad restrictions?
No self-deceiving rule can chain
our conscience and convictions.
Our God alone is on the throne,
and we are subjects willing.
Our lives obey God’s higher way;
our love God’s law fulfilling.
Verse 3:
What God-word brings,
may we embrace;
success and suff’ring greet us;
confronting evil face to face,
as scorn and anger meet us.
For freedom’s sake we bend, we break,
a sign to ev’ry nation that
we have found a solid ground;
God’s word our sure foundation.

The Kingdom of God
(El reino de Dios)
The kingdom of God is justice and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Come, Lord, and open in us
the gates of your kingdom.
El reino de Dios es reino de paz,
justicia y alegría.
Ven, Dios, y abre en mí
las puertas del reino.

Seeds
These seeds you have sown in our hearts and in our bones,
Cover them with your love.
Use our hands, use our feet, to show your love and your peace,
And cover us, cover us, cover us with love.
