This is one of my favorite sequels. Right under the remake, 6 and Never Hike Alone II (Fan Film).

Sandra was in the 2nd movie, she had the boyfriend named Jeff. They got in trouble at the start of the movie for going over to the abandoned Camp Blood. They both get killed in a hammock while having sex, Jason walks in the room and stabs Jeff through the back while he's on top of Sandra, which kills them both.

Crispin Glover was dancing to "Back In Black" by AC/DC as a temp track. The song "Love is a Lie" by Lion was later played over the scene. Glover explained this to me personally in 1996. I mean, it's not like it's a secret or anything, just sayin', I heard it directly from him. Weird guy, but I liked him.

Rob Dier the hunter guy is the brother of Sandra from Friday the 13th Part 2 - Sandra was the one who was shish-kebabed with a spear by Jason when she was getting it on with her boyfriend Jeff. So, Rob is out for revenge to get payback at Jason for killing his sister. P.S. Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter was meant to be the last film due to the fact the slasher film trend was declining. So it was decided by Paramount Pictures to give Jason Voorhees a good send off to move on and do other things. Unfortunately, it didn’t end things there. Rest became pure history.

Of course it goes without saying that I'm looking forward to you getting to each and every one of these (lacquering them with that special kind of first-class sass that we've all come to expect here on this channel!) However, that being said there are two that stand out to from the rest of pack for the simple fact that they (Parts 7 and 8) were the first ones that I'd ever watched (as an impressionable young man) and subsequently we're always the one that I found myself going back to whenever the mood struck me just so. Not to mention that both happened to have come out smack dab in that late-eighties sweet spot (between 87 and 89, which is where you'll often find little old me hanging out) meaning that while they still bore all the aesthetics and cultural stank of that bygone era they were also far enough all in technological advancement that you had yourself a near perfect marriage of retro and modern. Also it doesn't hurt that the year part 7 came out (88) is one of my favorite years for horror EVER! Never mind that the list of titles generated from that year would stand taller than you (though that much holds true for damn near every year from that decade) but no other year has had as many horror icons appearing on screen. In just that one year you had a Michael movie (Halloween 4), a Jason movie (Friday 7 natch), a Freddy Movie (Elm Street 4), a Pinhead movie (Hellbound Hellraiser II), a Chucky movie (the original Childs Play), Maniac Cop, Pumpkinhead, The Tall Man (from Phantasm II), The Blob from the Blob remake, the Angela from Night of the Demons as well as the one from Sleepaway Camp II, The Tarman from Return of the Living Dead part II and last but by no means least The Killer Klowns From Outer Space! A lineup that has never been bettered and honestly I don't believe it ever will be! Well. I think I've sold you well enough on that! Take care now pumpkins and keep on enjoying those wonderful movies!

Part 5 is the wild card of the bunch so I’m excited for y’all’s reaction to that one! Also, Gordon jumped from the window! Thanks for the video and looking forward to the rest!

It's been up in the air FOR YEARS if Gordon lived or died. I prefer to believe he lived and ran off to go live with his girlfriend :) This is my favorite Friday film followed by Part 7 the New Blood, the popular Part 6 is third for me.

We have the same reason for watching the Friday the 13th movies right now. It's one of the big horror franchises that I hadn't previously seen, but as soon as I heard that Bryan Fuller was making a TV series based on the movies I started watching them. I just recently finished the movies, and while they're entertaining (mostly- some are 😬), it's not my favorite horror series. I do however, have full faith in Bryan Fuller and have loved almost everything he has been involved in (Hannibal is my all time favorite TV show~ Mads Mikkelsen is just 😍), so I'm looking forward to his take on the lore. Even more so now that I know you guys will be reacting to it. I'm so excited!

The MPAA heavily cut all these movies, that's why you rarely get to see the kills in detail, part 7 got the worst of it.

This is the uncut version. For the longest time, the scene where Jason falls onto the machete and it almost bisects his head was not in there.

Looking forward to you guys watching the next one. It was pretty unpopulat at the time it came out (for reasons I won't spoil) but I think people have warmed to it since. If Crispin Glover looks familiar, you might have seen him in Back to the Future (which came out the year after this) as Marty McFly's dad.

Jason's aim can be as back as Star Wars Stormtrooper and as good as Bullseye from DareDevil. In this one, he throws a hammer across the room and misses. In the third one, he hits someone in the eye with a harpoon guns at about 30 yards or so.

I’m excited for you to watch them all!!!!! Especially, after you have watched the first 11, and you get to ‘Friday the 13th’ (2009). They used the same creative team that made the Texas Chainsaw, 2003 remake. My favorite channel, and F13 being my favorite slasher franchise! The lore is so fun, supernatural, horrifically wicked, and mysterious. A queer camp crystal lake would be such a great installment. ALTHOUGH- there is part 7.

Part 5 is the trashiest and campiest installment.....I live 4 it!!

One of the best in the franchise especially when it came to the kills holy shit and the fact they killed Jason off in his 4th movie with in such a brutal/gory fashion. Gotta love Tom Savini’s practical effects. Good on Tommy for doing what no one else in this franchise wasn’t capable of doing finishing off Jason. The Jason we got in this movie was awesome he was scary, brutal, and the physical performance by Ted White (rip) was great.

Back then it was fairly normal for young boys (up to about 12-13) to just either stare or get a little over excited like that, if they had a view of a girl in a state of undress. It was rather harmless, not considered an act of untoward behavior. It's that old, trite, and worn-out adage: "Boys will be boys." Back then, society was different, sadly. Now, if he was searching out for it, or specifically peeping at a particular a girl or girls, and/or frequently, or if he was older. Thankfully, these days, we can recognize what is creepy behavior, and recognize those creeps for the creeps they are.

The scene of Gordon jumping trough the glass was supposed to imply Jason killed him by throwing him out the window But scince they obviously couldn't do that to a real dog, they trained him to jump trough breakable glass, making for a really wiered effect It's now been retconed trough the F13 game that gordon did in fact live

This is imo the most Hard R FT13 sequel the gore is cranked to 11 (I’m shocked the MPAA allowed the theatrical cut to get a R (2-4 is a strong trilogy due to each film being connected) I personally love FT13 Part 5 (It’s a incredible fever dream) But, it was heavy edited with so much cut (Looking forward to seeing what you guys think of 5 it was super divisive for the longest time but, seems to gain a lot more fans and love for how bat sh!t insane it is

Out of the sense of fear & the heavy smell of death, Gordon, the dog, leapt up & propelled his self out of the window to escape. It is believed by many FT13 fans, that he landed on all fours & took off running into the woods, mainly because his status (alive or deceased) has always remained undetermined. I believe Gordon lived. That he landed on all fours & was like, " I love you, Tommy, but F**k this...um out." & with that, ran away as far as he could into the rainy night.

I doubt the show will actually have Jason The Jason rigths are split lol, No one company can fully use the Friday The 13th lore

While this is one of the better F13 films, the timeline starts falling apart here, because 2, 3, and 4 all take place over a 6-day period from July 12-18. Rob's sister Sandra was one of the two who speared together in bed on the 13th (Part 2), and he arrives in Crystal Lake on the 18th. So somehow in that 5 day span he figured out everything about Jason and made his way to Crystal Lake to stop avenge his sister.

Alice was the OG final girl ... Ginnie in Part II ... Chris in Part III.

This proves that you two can make anything entertaining. I'm a big supporter of "love what you love" when it comes to entertainment, so I think it's great that a lot of people get joy out of the Friday the 13th series, but god do I hate this franchise. When I watch a Friday the 13th movie is the only time that I actually have the thought "are the horror haters right?" Just all the negative tropes that give horror movies a bad reputation. I think there's some good stuff here and there, but it's kind of drops of water amidst the endless desert of mediocrity and misery haha. One of my biggest turnoffs in horror is when I feel like I'm supposed to be rooting for the killer. Obviously cool kills are fun and all, but I want to be rooting for the people fighting for their lives, not actively wanting them to die. I think of the major franchises, Friday the 13th is the worst for this. I also find these movies to verge on being mean spirited for me. I'm sure there's the argument of the mean spirited nature being more just in what the characters say and do, and the movie wants you to hate them, but I feel like the movies themselves carry that spirit.

The Final Chapter is in my top 2 for best Friday the 13th movie rating.

Highly creative and diverse kills throughout this moody and dark sequel.

I had a dark creepy hallway to get to the bathroom and I always ran through it thinking this version of Jason was going to grab me like he did Tommy Jarvis in this version. Gods I miss the 80s!
