Adam, the Liberty fabric shirt is attractive on you and a great fit. Sewing with others is fun. Glad you got the featherweight. I have several, on is very special because it belonged to my aunt, I sewed on it when I was 6 years old and as I was growing up, when she passed I got it, love. them.

I love my white featherweight and now lovely jubbly fabrics are selling The Featherweight Shop accessories it’s even better. I managed to get a spool converter which will work on any of my vintage machines as well as a mat and the super cute seam guide set without paying crippling postage charges.

Agreed the featherweight shop accessories are great, I have the thread stand and the spool converter and find the stand a lot better on the featherweight as it lifts the thread off the spool better than the converter. Thanks for watching ☺️

Hi Adam, really liked your Gosling shirt. Looks so fresh and pretty. So decided to buy the pattern to make it for hubby. Going back to what you were saying about there being too many buttons......the pictures on the pattern cover only show six buttons on the finished shirt. It's bizarre that there is more on the line drawing and actual pattern. I'm with you.... too many buttons.! I will be making less when I do mine. Now I need to source some liberty fabric. 😊

Also double check the fabric requirement, I managed to get mine out of 1m of 58” wide Tana Lawn, not the 1.7m quoted. Its a lovely make, one thing I’d also recommend is stay stitching the neckline after completing the yoke seams as it doesn’t advise in the pattern to do so, it will stop distortion whilst attatching the collar ☺️

I love the shirt Adam. I haven’t make a shirt for about 30 years and feel a bit nervous about it. But I love the pattern and want to make one for my husband in Liberty fabric. I’ll definitely make one in cheaper fabric first though. He may get it for his birthday in July! I enjoy your vlogs but this is the first time I’ve commented. I’ll not be shy 😂

Hi Maggie! Thanks for commenting, that sounds like a great plan to start in a cheaper fabric, I would recommend the Gosling shirt pattern, the pattern has very well written instructions with lots of good illustrations ☺️

Your shirt looks great. Love the liberty fabric especially the bug one. Out of interest does liberty tana lawn have anything written on the selvedge? I've got some fabric that looks very much like cape vista but I got it from someone's destash, the selvedge is very narrow 😊

No most of them don’t have anything on the selvedge if Tana lawn, the liberty quilting cotton have Lazenby cotton made in Italy written on it. The bug one was a must for me hehe x
