Brazilian phonk is phonk (the subgenre more towards aggressive phonk) infused with brazilian funk. Brazilian funk, also known as Baile Funk, is a very unique genre of music in Brazil that is heavily popular in slums that has being gaining a lot of traction outside those communities for a long while now. In some places it still is taboo to like b-funk because of its origin. AND, specially because lots of songs are heavily explicit in sexual and illegal drug contents. Funnily enough, the first artists to produce brazilian phonk were russians, the OGs of phonk 😂
