A tip for keeping your guacamole green is to touch the plastic onto the guac when you store it. Don’t leave air between. Press it straight on top so there’s no air and it always stays fresh!

They put a lot of preservatives in store/shelf items. I/we try not to eat as many items that's already made. Also i read labels and if it's a lot if junk i cant pronounce or just a lot of ingredients,i will leave it on the shelf. I will try and make it for our family. Neat refrigerator!! Mine is never that neat 😩😩

Smooth out the left over guacamole in a round dish and pour cold water on top to cover it. Pop in the fridge then pour off the water and dig in. You can store it like that up to 7 days.

A friend gave me a tip for keeping your homemade guac fresh. She said to put the pit of the avocado in the bowl with your guacamole once it's finished. Have tested it for myself yet but I hope it works!

@All Things Adrienne. Lime juice is good but air is the enemy of green avocado/guacamole. Cover the top with a liberal amount of plactic wrap and press it tight against the avocado with your fist to lock out any air. Should last 2-3 days that way.

Your fridge looks very royal!! To avoid your avocado browning, like guac or cutting an avocado in half.... Cover it with Saran wrap or whatever you'd like so oxygen doesn't get to it, because it's oxygen that turns it brown. 🥑💚
