For the first time in my life, instead of being younger i want to be 60 years older to be friends with this lady. This is the most wholesome content i've ever seen in my life. i'm saving this recipe forever and i'm telling everyone i learned to make them here with nancy. Best ever. 100/10.
Odds are good, if you look around there is someone a lot like her near you. So many older people have so much wisdom and life skills we can learn from. We just need to look for them.
Age doesn't matter when it comes to friendship. I have always gravitated towards older people. They have so much wisdom and knowledge to share not to mention love.
Age has nothing to do with friendship don't let someone's age keep you from cultivating a friendship. I'm 60 years old and have friends older than me but also have some much younger than me. We all have such a good time when we get together for cookouts or holiday parties or just hanging out.
So touched by this.... it is more than just the Fried Apple Pies. It is about the love for ones nation, serving your community and basking in the love of Jesus and ALL HIS BENEFITS! God Bless you Nancy!
Loved this. My grandmother in Kentucky made them for us. She said they "built the church with Fried Pies". It started with meetings in various houses & then they began having fried pie sales. Apple, pineapple and cherry. Nothing tasted like them.
It’s so refreshing to visit with you like the Old days when people sat and had coffee or tea together. Miss that so much bc these new generations do t come over. They want to meet at Starbucks etc. I feel very special when I’m invited or I invite someone to my house for coffee and tea. Let’s bring this back
Oh my goodness, it,s my first time here. The singing is just as sweet as the pie, wish I was living close by I would,ve visit every day to hear her sing. God bless and take care 🙏💞💝
Growing up my mom would make fried pies and they were so delicious. Apple, apricot, peach. Then she'd make I "mud" pie for me with powdered cocoa, sugar and butter. Best childhood memories.
Oh my, those look so good sitting on that pretty Corel dinner plate. Reminds me of my Mom. Oh, I love this Lady so much. I love her singing and I can not wait to try and make some of these pies!!! Wonder if I'll do apple or maybe pineapple, or maybe cherry... Oooh, sour cherry would be amazing. Oh yeah, happy baking y'all!!!
I am 47 and my good friend is in her 70's. Her husband when with Jesus due to COVID 19. They had no children except Jesus, me and her other friends. The point is my good friend and I get together almost every evening for cold or hot tea and watch a service or a movie.
From the very beginning of your video, I felt a comfort from your presence on screen. When you began to sing, I felt a smile on my face so big .I'm smiling as I type this..! Thank you for sharing your warm soul with us all! I am looking forward to making your pie recipe a hit this holiday season. God bless you and yours, now and always...from NYC and my family..happy holidays!

Im a Mamaw who learned to make fried pies from my Mamaw and I cherish the memories I have, I love how y’all make the pies for the Lord, it’s a true labor of love, God Bless you and all your friends who make the pies with you, and I love the music- this is the first time I’ve seen your videos- I hope you do more ✨
Hi, where are u from? First time I have heard anyone other than my family call their grandmother mamaw. We were reared in northern KY., But mother was from southern KY.
@@lindabeebe3599 im sorry, i just saw this- my Mamaw was from Texas and my Papaw was from Virginia- I grew up all over the world as my dad was a career military man- we now live in the real Northern California- almost to the Oregon border- it’s really rural- i didn’t get to know my grandparents until i was a teenager but i loved them immediately- my Papaw was a cattle man and rode a horse every day until his arthritis and his heart got to bad - he was the one who taught me how to make bacon gravy ( Mamaw taught me how to make the biscuits and I taught my kids and now our grandsons ( we don’t have any granddaughters) anyway my husband loved my Mamaw and Papaw as much as i did and we love that our grandsons honor us by calling us Mamaw & Papaw, thank you for your kind response- God Bless you and yours
I’ve been looking for a good dough recipe for fried apple pies and this is it! Ms. O’Driscoll, I agree, with your sentiment. This woman is truly special and we’re blessed to have seen this video. Yes, we need more people like her. In answer to your question about the name of the instrument she was playing, our family owned and played this instrument. It was called an auto harp. I think it has other names, too. God bless you. Your sister in Christ.
I just happen too scroll over and saw ms Nancy making fried pies. I watched her whole show, and loved her. I love that instrument I think I could play it since I play music. Thank you Nancy I love your fried pies and music. I love the mountains and the music. Is that instrument called a Harp of sorts. I would love too get one. I have a Dulcimer-that a Dear friend made for me. It’s beautiful. If you can I would love too have the name of your instrument. Thank you. A yankee born but, should of been born in the mountains that I dearly love and all those fabulous sounds made from hand made instruments. I hope you keep posting..😘

You have been a blessing to me today! My favorite thing to do is work in the kitchen at church- it is wonderful fellowship. Your story brought me tears of joy. Thank you! God be with you and your church family. 🥰
This brought back so many memories of years gone by. My mom used to make sheet pan apple pie for church and it was delicious. We would go apple picking in the fall and buy bushels of apples to last all year. We wrapped them in newspaper and put them in our insulated garage pantry. This woman is such a blessing to all of us. Thank you!
Delicious, thank you for sharing this apple pie recipe just like m y mom use to make. May God bless your lovely Soul..what is that instrument you are playing?

Oh thank you RU-vid. I was looking at Tiger Bread recipes and this video popped up in my recommended list. I have a tree full of apples which usually go to waste and I now have a perfect reason to save them all and fill my stomach. Excellent video and a charming host. Thank you so much.
WOW!!! I’m finding this a year later. This reminds me of my mom and grandma. Bless both of them. I could sit and listen to her for hours. Her grandkids should be here helping her. That better than a college education. God bless her. And she can sing.
Hi Nancy. I’m a new subscriber to your channel and I have to say, you remind me soooo much of my Nanney Boaz. She always had something special homemade every day we walked to her house. The house she lived in was built by my Peepaw, and was the house my mom grew up in all her life. She made the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever tasted! I’m so happy to try your fried apple pies!! My Nanney always made apricot pies cuz she had 4 trees in her yard!! Thank you for sharing and I so look forward to watching more of your videos!! 🤗❤️👩🍳🥠
I LOVE you Nancy! You remind me of my granny. Love your singing and cooking. What state do you live in? I hope you will be able to do more cooking and singing videos! God Bless you sweet lady.
I commented on this video a few months ago when it showed up on my newsfeed, but I no longer see my comment. This video brings back such sweet memories of being in the kitchen as a youngster (I am 59) with my sweet Mississippi country Granny. Biscuits and fried apple pies were her two favorite things to cook. Such wonderful childhood memories. Thank you Mrs Nancy for sharing your channels, your love of the Lord, your recipes, your music and singing, and your sweet humble spirit with us. God bless you, and prayers 🙏 as He leads you through each day ❤️. - Lisa in Mississippi
