How about an exclusive showing of Sport Racing and Porsche-themed art, both paint and photos? Great, how about if it was hosted in a private Porsche museum collection? And how about if that collection was in the basement of a famous Porsche Dealership?
Ok, let's start with a white-knuckle drive through Angeles Crest shortly after sunrise. A visit to the permanently-closed Newcomb's Ranch to fill up on fried eggs and jam (fried eggs and jam not included). It did, however, include complementary drinks from Paulaner Sunset (@paulaner.sunset), for those craving German sodapop.
Next stop: Vasquez Rocks.
This very familiar scenery is often seen in older Hollywood shows, like Star Trek, whenever they needed to beam down to an isolated alien planet to do hand-to-hand combat with the Foe of the week. It was on the way. No aliens were harmed in the making of this video.
GamGam Burgers (@gamgam_burger) was waiting for us on site in the rear lot at the Porsche Santa Clarita Wunderground! (@porschesantaclarita).
The 'Fried Egg' theme of the day's ride was inspired by the unique, single-model design of the 986/996 headlight assembly, which includes headlamp and yellow turn signal, resembling a runny egg cooked on an uneven pan. To honor this theme, GamGam included a fried egg on top of every burger. Every burger. Yup. Yum.
Et Voilà! Instant Art! Just a hop, skip, and 116 miles through the canyons, and we get to review Sport Porsche inspired paintings and photographs, also with a nod to the fried egg theme. All the art pieces are for sale, for those interested.
Fried Egg Jam was organized and promoted by Scott Kelly (@rennstreetpodcast, @the.targa.chronicles and @scottkelly911tt).
