Fried Moringa leaves / theluli fai / Moringa leaf fry
Maldivian food recipe
...........
The video was shot in gdh. faresmaathoda. Thanks to the beautiful and kind lady from faresmaathoda for giving me the opportunity.
Smoked and dried tuna chips can be added to this as well. Fry it separately and add it. Curry leaves can also be added together with the Moringa leaves while frying it. Upto personal preference.
Salt can be added to taste while mixing everything or to the fresh leaves. The lady in the video adds it to the fresh Moringa leaves, to the leaves that are seperated from the stem. She stirs salt in little hot water and mix it with the leaves once cooled. While frying, the salt gets incorporated into the leaves. My mother adds salt while mixing everything together.
Ingredients Used:
Moringa leaves
Onion
Garlic
fresh green chilli
Dried red chillies
Oil for frying
Salt to taste
Do try it out and let me know it in the comments.
Will try to do another video in the future for this fried Moringa leaves using the gas stoves. I wanted to show the way it is normally made in the Islands of the Maldives before doing it.
Fried Moringa leaves goes well with any rice or roti based dishes. I like to add a little while eating my noodles as well. 🤤
Thank you for watching and supporting my channel
