This Fried guy is OK at poker, I think I could win a lot of chips from him. I'm 5zoom Regular only because my wife took my money, one day I reach 500zoom then I will take frieds bankroll with aggressive plays .I studied poker with tibetan buddhist monks for 124 days at 34, 000 ft. level of himalayan mountains. I fasted for 23 days to achieve the highest degree, now I could share some tips, but not yet

This was a really great video. One question though. Can you not go for value at 29:18 with AK? You have all the stronger hands so he shouldn't be incentivized to check-raise bluff, his range seems capped/weak,
@mynameiskarl

I guess I was afraid of some slowplay x/r too much... but when I look at it now, I agree. I'm a nitty 6max player, rarely see or make value bets with AK. But it should be good here. Thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks for all the comments, likes & subs! Unfortunately, videos like this, where I play the stakes I play for a living & give away my thought process... those are the kind of videos I can't hand out too often for free. So future videos on the channel will focus on different aspects of poker. But if you want to see more of me playing 500z, or more in depth strategic videos, you can check out my (and other) content at the Upswing Lab: bit.ly/Upswing_Lab

Hey Baris ! Yes, I remember your name. Hope you are well. I make my videos with OBS: obsproject.com/ In there you can use video from multiple sources (so both my webcam & part of my screen). I don't know how you would incorporate that easily in sharing your screen with friends, but I guess you live stream youtube or twitch and just share the link with only your friends. I haven't watch this yet, but I had saved this video because this fella seemed to have a couple of good tutorials for this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4v0rU210dfg.html

22:00 Don't you think the bet is too large since you're mostly repping Tx and fewer combos of Jx (with weak kicker or with a flush draw)? I think a bet of 60% makes more sense and when you follow through on the river with the same sizing you will generate more fold equity

Hey Fried, great video. At 28:55 the hand with AsKs, what are your thoughts on bluffing the river? My logic is that most of your bluffs on the turn contain a club. Thus AK would now be one of your worst hands.
@mynameiskarl
@mynameiskarl 5 лет назад
I agree that on that runout, it'll be hard for me to find some bluffs. So this possibly should make us rethink our strategy on the previous street. => from a GTO/solver perspective, it is just a (almost) 100% check range on this turn. => I bet turn here because I think it's a weaker player. On the river, I don't think it's profitable to try to make him fold AK or better.
@oliver8510
@oliver8510 6 лет назад
Cool video. Surprised you didn’t go for value on the river with ATo at 17:20. Would expect button to bet better on turn. And both have lots of worse AX. What are your thoughts on this?
@mynameiskarl
@mynameiskarl 5 лет назад
Once I identify both of them as wider and weaker, I agree that I missed some value there. Should have bet 33-50% pot or something like that.
@philhellmuff
@philhellmuff 6 лет назад
What about checking back A2dd and calling most rivers. I think the villain 3bets KQ AQ so his range is more likely 79 89 Q9 Q8. I also don't expect him to bet those if he makes a pair on the river. This makes his river shoves mostly air

@oliver8510 6 лет назад

21:10 How is this a bad board for SB (compared to BB) ? The SB open and BB calling ranges are almost identical + , SB has all the overpairs and a bit more of some hands that BB might optionally 3b (77+, T9s, 98s, 87s).
@mynameiskarl
@mynameiskarl 5 лет назад
Yes, SB will even have a small equity advantage here, range vs range. However, we are not all in on the flop. SB needs to play 3 streets OOP, 100bb deep on a dynamic board, where position adds a lot of EV. If I put this spot in Simple Postflop with my default game tree, I get: 51% equity for small blind But SB can't realize all of that equity. => equilibrium EV of only 46% of the pot. (this equilibrium EV / Nash EV is an output of solvers like Pio & SP)

Could u tell us what do u think about villains x/r on the flop in the first hand? Why to x/r when he gets great pot odds with his oesd and is oop so he doesn't want to build a big pot? Which hands does he x/r for value there? I put him on JTs and 22 (TT and JJ might be 3betting pflop as long as it's 6max and also bcs u said, he was an agressive player), so he doesn't need so many hands x/r as a bluff, so why to put oesd in his semibluff x/r range, or do you think those are first hands to put into bluff x/r range? Thank you for replying. Great video, keep it up!:)
@mynameiskarl
@mynameiskarl 6 лет назад
It makes sense for villain to bluff with a variety of hands. From combo draws to OESD /FDs, to gutshots to backdoor NFD/backdoor gutshot like Ad3x. All with different frequencies. The stronger bluffs can continue with a lot of equity on the turn after the x/r gets called on the flop. They're also strong enough to call a flop 3bet with. Q9ss is a good flop x/r
